Excellent trip, ran like clockwork from start to finish. Our guide Mario was brilliant, really knowledgeable about all sites we visited. The excursion was just the right amount of historic tour with free time to take pics at the sites with my family. Highly recommend the additional camel ride at the pyramids.

Flight to the Pyramids
June_M, Feb 2024
The highlight was seeing the pyramids, unfortunately the only way I could take photos from the Sahara side was to pay for either a pony and cart or camel. The guide was knowledgeable but quite hard to understand at times and kept trying to give us Egyptian money for pounds which led to confusion at the end of the trip. My tip would be to pay any extras yourself and not give the guide money. The buffet lunch was ok but the vegetarian option was chips. The driver drove erratically and made the ride uncomfortable. I would suggest flying to Cairo but not using this particular company for the minibus part of the trip.

Had a great day. The driver and guide couldn’t have been better ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Loved every minute. All in all fabulous day Ahmed was fantastic and made the day a day we will never forget. Thanks for a great day.
Great trip to see a wonder of the world!

Excellent trip, from the very start. Fantastic communication and met at every stage by a friendly face! Very knowledgeable guide and the best driver in Cairo! Museum and Tutankhamun burial mask is amazing and the pyramids/sphinx breathtaking. Glad we did the tour with flights, makes a long day much more comfortable. Would recommend this trip to anyone!
The museum was amazing!...

Incredibly well organised trip, communication from the team prior to departure was excellent and the day went seamlessly. We had a great tour guide who explained all the history and helped us take the best photos. Excellent trip, highly recommend 👌

Simply stunning

A brilliant day picked up and delivered back to hotel and apart from the triple security at the airport transport overall was brilliant. Meet by the guide at the airport, he was very knowledgeable about his city. Lunch was good but rushed and driver of bus was great. Must say that we saw little of old Cairo but considering the Pyramids were the main event no worries. The trip on the Nile (optional?) was a waste of time it was basically a time killer before heading for the Museum. The Museum was incredible but the no photos in Tutenkahmun room was a bit pointless given it had travelled far and wide. It was clear that many exhibits were being packed to be moved to the sleek New Museum but not a biggie really. After a waste of time at the papyrus shop, we hit Giza and really I find it difficult to really describe amazing enormous stunning don't really reflect the truth. The hawkers and camel drovers were a pain but we gave in with help from guide and had a marvellous trip on a camel. One tip though take two wallets one with E£ in and the other with foreign currency when tipping only ever show the E£ if they smell £$ etc its turns into hell . I thoroughly recommend the trip and its cheaper through Viator than via tour reps
Great photos, not a great guide

The trip was well organized. I got regular updates and info from the trip organizer. The communication was nice. The taxi driver picked us up in front of our hotel and took us together with other tour participants to the airport. The tour guide was waiting for us at the Cairo airport. "Mr. X" - our driver and Ahmed the guide were very good at driving us around Cairo to see the museum and pyramids. Ahmed showed us good spots for taking nice photos. If you want to take the trip because of photos, go ahead. BUT I had a hard time listening to our guide's commentary - don't believe Ahmed a word. After spending a week on a Nile trip with an Egyptologist, we knew that a lot of what Ahmed was saying, was nonsense or some hoax. Eg. "the winged person on a painting (goddess Isis) is an Egyptian soul flying to heaven", "Egyptians had to cut stones with lasers because he cannot imagine how else it could be done", "pyramids are aligned by stars", "no one knows how mummification was done", "covid was not real" etc. Everything could be verified by a simple Google search and when confronted with the facts, he was adamant that it was not true because it would "take too much time and ppl". I could go on. To enjoy our time better, we split with our guide at the museum and explored it at our own pace (after we were stuck for 30 minutes in the very first room). I give kudos to Ahmed that he tried to make the trip fun, but I think he tried too hard. He had too much energy and wanted us to match his energy level. This started to be exhausting after a while (more than the trip). Also, he sometimes talked to us like we were kids, in a "yay we are having fun, isn't this exciting" way. Overall, he was very friendly. Ahmed was also very helpful with taking pictures of us. But after taking the pictures, he would hold the phone until he showed you all the pictures he took, even after you tried to get the phone back. He also randomly took your phone "to show or explain something" and then kept fiddling it around in his hand for 5 minutes until he finished talking. You could feel that it was weird for everyone and ppl started hiding their phones to keep him from touching them. He was also a touchy person which is ok, and he asked if it's ok to touch your shoulder, etc. But after a while, it got weird, because he was touching everyone constantly, even the face which is a no-go (to me at least). I'm not sure if it's a cultural thing or something, but I would expect, that a person who works with tourists every day knows better. We had some doubts about whether he was an official guide after he bribed a guard to get into the pyramids area with the car, and then later he pressed himself on me in the turnstile while I was using my entrance ticket to get inside with me (all guides have free entry to the sites). Besides the museum and pyramids, prepare for lunch in an overcrowded tourist restaurant - not on the bank of the Nile, and a visit to papyrus and perfume shops. You were not required to buy anything but you had to listen to the sellers' speeches and were stuck there for a while. I recommend skipping these visits and spending more time on the museum and pyramids. They will bait you to go there to the toilet, refreshments, etc., but don't go if you don't need to. Overall, the trip could have been shorter, it's just filled up with visits to their friends' businesses. It's good for seeing places and taking photos, but that's about it.
Long day but very worthwhile

Had a great day in Cairo visiting the museum and great pyramids. Our guide Achmed did a great job of shepherding us around and looking after us to ensure we didn’t get lost. It is a long day, but flying meant we were more relaxed and had more time in Cairo and the sites as opposed to doing a similar trip my coach.
Tiring but brilliant
happyadnan, Jan 2024
It was brilliant , you need good stamina and energy to go on this trip. Guide was very good too. We got the chance to visit museum, pyramdis and many other things too

Fun Trip with Important Sights
Russell_W, Jan 2024
Very good trip and an excellent way to see the sights in Cario and Giza. It was excellent to see the museum, the sphinx and the pyramids in just one day as you manage to cram it all in. Biggest downside was that you are constantly bombarded by people trying to sell you items as well as the final trip on the tour is to a perfume shop to try and make you buy some products. Otherwise an excellent tour and very happy with the guide and service provided.
A long but wonderful day.
Isabella_M, Jan 2024
Seeing the pyramids on a camel was the best part of the day. Egyptian museum was also very interesting. If you take this trip, bring some snacks, it was around 1230hrs before we had lunch and that was after leaving the hotel at 0320hrs. We had a small group of 5 people, which was ideal. Our guide was very good, as was our driver.
Excellent trip that was let down by the transport

This is a bit of a split review of our experience from Hurghada and Cairo. Hotel Pick Up and Drop off (1 out of 5 stars). We were told to be ready at 0630 for a pick up. The driver was late by a hour and could not be less bothered, all smiles. A simple sorry would have gone a long way, anyone with children will understand that getting two young children up at 0530 is hard work. For the return, the driver was not present at the airport and we ended up getting a taxi from the airport to the hotel, again not what you want at 0200 in the morning with children. Cairo (5 out of 5 stars) Guide and driver were waiting to meet us and could not be more attentive from start to finish. The guide couldn’t have been more knowledgeable and really brought the whole subject to life for us. He was constantly pointing out interesting things and facts about Cairo at all times and worked hard to make it interesting. The day does feel slightly rushed, this is no fault of the guide, there is a lot to fit in and you could easily take two days to cover it all. The pyramids were a amazing experience and the photos from the camel ride captured some really special memories for us as a family. The incense and papyrus visits are really worth while and interesting. Both children really enjoyed it, ignore the negative reviews on this and give it a go. Tips Take some snacks and water as the day is full on. Dollars and Euros is the preferred currency, so ensure that you have some cash to hand to pay for souvenirs.
Overall good experience

One day trip was good . Driver ZAHER was simply excellent. Very honest and trustworthy. ZAHER picked and dropped us to the airport and was exceptionally polite and helpful. Tour guide accompanying the driver was good to begin but then he gave some misleading information about pyramid and insisted that we must take camel ride to a panorama point to take good pictures as it’s not accessible by car. But after arguing we went by car and it was simply straight forward. We were not sure why he insisted that we can’t reach there by car. Driver took us by our car in few minutes. Overall it’s a good experience but make it clear to the guide that you want to spend more time at attractions rather than any shop. Overall good tour Driver ZAHER - excellent Tour guide ( I am not naming him) - average
Fantastic once in a lifetime trip. 100% worth every penny!

What a fantastic day me, husband a son (8) had. From being picked up at hotel to being dropped off at home, everything went perfectly! Great communication from Rana on WhatsApp about times and flight tickets prior to the trip. Our guide Famhe was brilliant - great English, knowledgeable and an amazing photographer; took all the iconic photos for us and much more!! We had free time in museum and pyramids and Fahme took us to all the best spots including where to go into a pyramid for free. In terms of extras you pay for nile boat (400 Egyptian pounds for adults and 200 for children - I think its an expectation you do it and to be honest worth it. They all prefere to be given cash either USD or GBP - I think they get a good exchange rate. I did enjoy going to the papyrus shop and seeing how it's made. It's a selling point and they start from 1200 Egyptian pounds, but depending on how good your haggling skills are depends on how much you pay. Lunch I enjoyed- all you can eat salad with lamb and chicken - drinks are extra. I would recommend you bring cash as you can do camel, horse rides etc at pyramids. We didn't, but they looked good. All in all an absolutely fantastic day which I will remember forever, thank you :)
