Excellent trip, ran like clockwork from start to finish. Our guide Mario was brilliant, really knowledgeable about all sites we visited. The excursion was just the right amount of historic tour with free time to take pics at the sites with my family. Highly recommend the additional camel ride at the pyramids.

Once in a lifetime

Amazing day and our guide Femhe was brilliant and very knowlegable, we saw all the awesome sights close up, even went inside a pyramid. Only downside was a long visit to a perfume shop then we had to dash across Cairo in really bad traffic to do the boat trip then only just made it back to the airport in time
Wow what a trip !

Wow what a trip Ahmed our guide for the day was the best tour guide I have ever had - he was very knowledgeable about the hold experience and his love for his country and Cairo city was very evident also he explained everything about the Pyrmids etc really well he also got us extra bits add on lovely lunch made sure the toilets were good really looked after us and his knowledge on Eygptian culture was easy to understand - no long queuing either well worth the money and the whole lot of us said he made everyday a school day and yes would really recommend this tour no probs - thank you Ahmed and Viator for making easy to book and go ! 11/10 honest!!
Perfect

The trip was fantastic from pick up to drop off everything was so well organised Ahmed was our Guide he was extremely knowledgeable about the city and the history would highly recommend for anyone that wants to know more about the history we had optional trip on the Nile for 10gbp each adult my 9 year old was free which is worth the money and another optional camel or horse ride out to the desert to take pictures of yourself and pyramids this is also 10gbp and is also worth it and children free 10/10
Rememberable day

We were picked up from our hotel with a friendly driver and on time, unfortunately our flight to Cairo was delayed by 2 hours (not fault of Viator but the airline) which meant we lost two hours of our trip in Cairo which made everything a little more rushed. We met our tour guide Fahme at the airport who was friendly and took us straight to the Museum, Fahme was very knowledgeable and engaging with our two small children. Age 4 and 7 and took us to all the popular sites in the museum. Our 4 year olds favourite part was seeing real mummies! We then went for a boat ride on the river Nile which was on a beautiful boat the golden fish! We then stopped at a papyrus shop which was lovely (a little expensive) however we could get a lovely family tree with our names in hieroglyphs. We then stopped for lunch which had some meats and salad, which was nice but you had to pay extra for drinks! After this it was onto the pyramids a stunning site! Fahme was very knowledgable and took us to good spots to take photos! There were some people trying to scam you at the pyramids but Fahme gave us good tips on how not to get scammed! However there were also many friendly local people at the pyramid who wanted to take picture with us. We took a camel ride to a panoramic view point, which was incredible again expensive at 500 LE for foreigners but well worth it for the memories! The only negative was the people with the camels tried to charge you extra for taking photos of you, which you would expect to be included in the price since you are already paying more than local people for a camel ride. We then ended the day in a perfume shop, we didn’t buy anything and didn’t feel overly pressured to buy anything. Fahme then bought us snacks to take back on the plane with us! Overall a fantastic day, Fahme was lovely! If anyone else is travelling with young children don’t be put off, lots of breaks and stops for rests and air conditioned car that children can rest in! Driver Mohammed was also brilliant!
Ok but slightly disappointed

Firstly there are two hidden costs with this trip. They make you pay for the Nike cruise which is in the description but then they also make you pay for a camel ride up to the pyramids. You can't really say no, as they claim this is the best spot and don't really take you anywhere else to see them. Our day started off weirdly as we were the only two people ushered into a different bus. We were confused as to why we were singled out and we're given no explanation, we were then told to come back. Our guide was ok but it was difficult to understand him at times, he was doing the tour in both English and German. The Nile Cruise was not worth it, nothing to see and the tour guide just filled the time with a photoshoot making us take poses Infront of landmarks. The museum was good, but not enough time. You get ushered around by the guide and then get 30 mins to see the museum. Then off to the pyramids. We spent some time Infront of one pyramid before being told to go on the camel to a good spot . The animal abuse here is quite bad and upsetting as the camels and horses clearly aren't kept in good condition. When we got to the spot, we weren't given any time to take in the view ourselves, instead our guide insisted on taking photos for us and then that was it, we were back down. As a result we didn't actually spend much time looking at the pyramids, instead our back to them while our guide took photos. Obligatory shop stop afterwards to an oil shop, told to sit down for at least 20 minutes while they went through products and felt pushy. We then went onto a mosque and off home. We received two bottles of water but it wasn't as free flowing as other timies I've been on. All in all it was ok but could have been better.
Cairo visit

Day trip to Cairo from Hurghada
Darren_J, Apr 2024
This was a very well organised trip from start to finish. Pick up from Cairo and dropped back to hotel without any delays. The tour guide Fahme was very knowledgeable and handled some out of the box situations seemlessly. The team made the experience very easy and communication before during and after the trip was only a text or phone call away. Would definitely use again and recommend.
Great trip
Dylan_S, Mar 2024
A very good trip that was well planned out. The only criticism is that there were some stops at perfume and paper shops in between to try getting you to purchase from them, which wasn’t mentioned in the description. Another thing not mentioned in the description is a visit to one of oldest mosques in Africa, which was fine, but some of the woman expressed how they felt uncomfortable due to some of the locals staring as they were not completed covered up when entering the building. When you get to Giza to view the pyramids, you are taken to a good spot for photos, but you are informed that you need a camel or horse & cart to get there, which costs £10 per person. We went on the camels, but couldn’t get off at the spot safely, so had to have photos on the camels instead. The lunch is a buffet bbq, which is nice, but you’ll need to pay for drinks, waters were €2 each. Overall, the guide was thorough and the trip was very good, and we were glad we did this. The flights were quick, and seemed much better than the alternative, which was a long journey by van/car from Hurghada.
A trip to remember!

Very organised trip from beginning to end. Fahme was a very knowledgeable man and made us feel included especially when he took us to the mosque! However, you should note that you will most likely get mithered at the pyramids, although this is through no fault of the tour operator and is to be expected in such a high traffic tourist area. The day was brilliant from start to finish and I could not have asked for a better, more friendly guide to have shown us around the city of Cairo and of Giza, Fahme did exceptionally well at making the whole trip memorable and this will certainly be a trip I will never forget!!
Fantastic day

Had a great day! It is a very very long day though so be prepared for that! Our guide and driver were brilliant, kept us informed the whole trip, and told us tales of times past but also great tips and hints for our stay. I really only wanted to see the pyramids and thought the other parts would be not to my taste but I loved them all, so much better than expected. There is an extra charge for a boat trip on the Nile and for camel rides but it’s not expensive. Everyone wants tipped and if you want to make sure and bring Bank Of England notes (UK) as they don’t recognise any other pounds Stirling. Paying the extra to go via plane rather than bus was well worth it in my opinion.
A good excursion

After booking with viator was contacted by a lady Rona who kept us updated at all times very professional I asked several questions she answered straight back with answers our flights were around 45 mins all our transfers were reliable and our guide in Cairo Fahme was very good too a lot of money but only here once we enjoyed it and would recommend
Amazing Experience
Kirsty_L, Mar 2024
This was an amazing trip and worth every penny! Fahme was our tour guide and he spoke brilliant English and German for the people on our tour. There was not a minute that went by where Fahme did not fill it with information! Yes it is an early start for the flight but this is the best way to see Cairo as it gives you more time. The museum was amazing, you get 2 hours which feels a little rushed but that is only because it is so huge you really could do with 1 whole day here! The Nile cruise was nice, even just to say you have been on the Nile. The pyramids were amazing, I recommend the camel ride, we love animals and read reviews about them being badly treated, this was not the case. The sphinx was also amazing to see up close. Fahme was a great guide, an excellent photographer who captured many great photographs for all involved and looked after my partner also as she has limited mobility. The tour was small 8 of us in total I think 100% recommend this trip with these tour guides!
One of the best days of my life

Our tour started with a promt collection from our hotel at 4.20am. Then straight to airport. Our group (10 people) seated together on plane, nice short flight (1 hour). Collected outside airport by our guide (Fahme). Pls note its quite chilly so might want yo bring extra layer. Went straight to Nile cruise (around 45 mins, cost £10 each). Then on to museum. Our guide took us straight to the main points of interest so as to avoid the crowds. You then get around 45 mins to look round yourself. Then to a buffet type restaurant for lunch, this was chicken and shish kebab with salad, etc. Tasted really good. We stopped at a authentic papyrus shop and had a demo on how its made and you can make a purchase with no pressure. Then on to the pyramids. Can have the option to have either a camel ride or go in a x2 person horse drawn carriage (again was £10 each). We took the horse carriage which was amazing! You then see the sphinx where you can take photos. Then straight back to airport and then back to hotels. There are regular toilet breaks along the trip and water supplied. We would give this trip 5 🌟 and highly recommended, it's the best way to see the pyramids.
Flight to the Pyramids
June_M, Feb 2024
The highlight was seeing the pyramids, unfortunately the only way I could take photos from the Sahara side was to pay for either a pony and cart or camel. The guide was knowledgeable but quite hard to understand at times and kept trying to give us Egyptian money for pounds which led to confusion at the end of the trip. My tip would be to pay any extras yourself and not give the guide money. The buffet lunch was ok but the vegetarian option was chips. The driver drove erratically and made the ride uncomfortable. I would suggest flying to Cairo but not using this particular company for the minibus part of the trip.

Excellent trip, from the very start. Fantastic communication and met at every stage by a friendly face! Very knowledgeable guide and the best driver in Cairo! Museum and Tutankhamun burial mask is amazing and the pyramids/sphinx breathtaking. Glad we did the tour with flights, makes a long day much more comfortable. Would recommend this trip to anyone!
