Kathmandu cultural immersion

What a fantastic day. It was long but packed with new and interesting cultural experiences. The guide and driver were fantastic and went out of their way to make the whole experience special.

The tour started right at 7am and Shanti greeted us at the lobby. The driver was very friendly, and the car was very clean. Shanti was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable about all the places and architecture. We had a request to do some souvenir shopping which she took us to the shops around the places, which we really appreciated. Shanti was also an excellent photographer. As this was our first time visiting Kathmandu, the tour really helped us look at all the heritage sites that we probably would not have been able to see by ourselves. I would recommend this tour for anyone who is coming to Kathmandu for the first time and would like to see what Kathmandu has to offer or for anyone who’s interested in learning more about the architecture.

Make the most of a limited time

I thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Having very little time to dedicate to sightseeing, it was a great way to see what the Kathamandu area has to offer in just one day! All without feeling too rushed, there was enough time dedicated to each site. My guide Shanti did an excellent job: she was very knowledgeable, answered all my questions and accommodated also some personal requests. Highly recommended!

The driver was always close by and kept us safe in the crazy Kathmandu traffic. It is a long day, lots of walking, so be prepared! Highly recommended tour to Kathmandu highlights

Excellent tour during which you spend whole day sightseeing in the city. We saw all the temples, markets, shopping streets and Hindu cremation in the evening. We ate a nice lunch in a restaurant with a view for a market square. Our tour guide Sarita was so professional and kind. She gave us a piece of knowledge about every place we saw, but also was so patient and smiley whenever we wanted to stay somewhere. We had a great time exploring the city with her. I highly recommend the tour!

Covers everything in Kathmandu

This tour was great! 12 hours was a bit long so we ended up asking our guide to end early but overall it awesome. Our guide Pankaj was super knowledgable and our driver was professional and good at navigating the hectic roads. You will see every major spot in the city! Good to get a feel of the sites and area.

Fantastic Cultural Day

A perfect way to see all the main heritage sites in Kathmandu. It’s a full day of walking, but it was worth it! My tour guide Shanti was fabulous. She gave me the historical, cultural, and religious context of every site we visited. She answered all my questions and let me walk at my own pace. Every site was unique so it’s hard to pick a favorite! Definitely recommend this tour. Bring good walking shoes and plenty of water.

They said it couldn’t be done… all 7 UNESCO in a day

We had such a limited time to sight-see in Nepal, just one day, but Shanti made sure we got a great overview of Kathmandu and we even got to see the Royal Kumari. Many people, including the hotel advised that we would not make it to all of heritage areas, but they were wrong. Shanti and our driver knew how to expertly manoeuvre traffic, and were flexible on what times to reach each destination to avoid peak times and maximise good weather. Shanti has a good manner as a guide, and is an excellent guide. She is so studied about each area and can also advise on all things Nepali. The only negative as ever with a tour as extensive as this one is that it is too much to remember, but a great starting place nonetheless. If you have limited time to see Kathmandu, we cannot more highly recommend this tour. It included a private car and driver, hotel pick up and drop off, an excellent guide and a stop for lunch.

Must Do Tour

This is a must do tour when visiting Kathmandu. I was picked up on time and brought to each of these incredible destinations by a competent driver and amazing guide Shanti. She explained historical events at each location and her English was fantastic. She helped me with more than just the tour she assisted me in grabbing essentials for my stay. Quick Introduction to the History of Kathmandu

We had a good time with Shanti. She is very knowledgeable and a pleasant personality. She adjusted the timeline to help some of our friends shop as well. She was precise and quick at the same time gave us time to explore some of historical sites at our own pace. We got to learn about not just the history of Kathmandu and its treasures but also what is going on today. What are the cares and worries of the youth of Nepal. We went to Kathmandu as part of our Everest Base Camp tour. I had no knowledge about Nepal and the UNESCO world heritages sites. This tour quickly takes you through the entire Kathmandu and then you can decide where to spend more time on your own. Be prepared for a long day and an information overload. For me, it was great because it gave me a quick sense of the different locations in Nepal.

An amazing day. If you’re short of time and want to make sure you see all of Kathmandus key historical sites then this is the perfect tour. A long, but very interesting and beautiful day. We learned a great deal from Pankaj our guide and he was able to answer all our questions. Our driver drove safely at all times. We really enjoyed the day.

She also navigated the crowds and locations with ease and made sure I was comfortable and had all my questions answered along the way. Shanti was very knowledgeable and very accommodating. At the start, she told us what to expect about the tour. During our tour, she asked us how we are doing and if we’d like to change our itinerary to suit our needs. This tour is made for people who does not have enough time for their trip and you can let Shanti know if you’d like to tweak it a little bit. The highlight of my trip was the Thangka Painting. Prepare to walk because we did 23,000 steps! Visit Nepal during off season. Traffic is better and prices for souvenirs are low. 🖤

Our guide (Shanti Karki) was fantastic. She picked us up at our hotel promptly at 7am to begin our day trip through Kathmandu valley exploring many temples and historic sites. It was a great day with many exciting places that ended with a really interesting religious ceremony at the Bagmati river relating to public crematorium.

A very good experience. A long tour, but you see all the essentials in one day. My guide Pankaj was very patient, knowledgable, and friendly. Little bit of walking involved so prepare for that. Come fully rested, with a fully-charged camera, and many questions to get the most of the day!
