What To Expect

After morning pickup from your Kathmandu hotel, your private guide takes you on a scenic 90-minute drive to Nagarkot. Along the winding roads, pass by small villages, teahouses, forests, and mountain panoramas in the distance.

Nagarkot sits about 19 miles (30 kilometers) from Kathmandu. See the Everest Range, Annapurna Range, the Langtang Range, the Mansiri Range, Rolwaling Range, and other Himalayan mountains in the distance.

Follow your guide down a walking trail to the village of Rohini Bhanjyang, which offers great mountain views. Continue through the hamlets of Kankre and Tanchok to Tusal, then ascend uphill through farmland to Opi.

Then, head to Changu Narayan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you explore the 2-story pagoda-style temple that is dedicated to Lord Vishnu.

Relax on the return drive to Kathmandu where your tour ends with hotel drop-off in the early evening.

It was an awesome walk, really enjoy sightseeing rural area and temples. Guide was really profesional and excellent driver. Very comfortable vehicle and tons of in information, quite happy with the experience

Sunrise in front of the Himalaya

The excursion to Nagarcot to see the sunrise was great. The guide and the driver were on time, despite the 4 a.m. appointment. The car was comfortable, the driving safe and our guide, sorry I can't remember his name, friendly and professional. He took pictures, gave us explanations and plenty of time to enjoy the views and the sunrise in front of the Himalayas. Then we went on an 11 km hike and he walked with us and took the necessary breaks to make the hike comfortable. I would recommend this tour without a doubt
