Overview

Not only is Key West a playground paradise for adults, it is for dolphins, too. See how many of these playful creatures you can spot on this small-group sailing tour. You’ll board Our SQUID, we designed and built SQUID from scratch to ensure our guests, and the animals, have the best wildlife experience possible. This catamaran will take you and a crew trained by biologists into the waters around Key West. After watching dolphins swim, you’ll jump into the water and snorkel around the coral reefs to view other marine life.

Boarding time is 20 minutes before departure. Please be on time. Thank you! We do not issue refunds if you miss the boat. You will find the boat, Squid, at the bottom of the steps of the Waterfront Brewery. We are docked right in front of the yellow public restrooms building.

The crew was fantastic. They knew the ocean and the marine life and were able to answer our questions and provide facts. Enjoyed the calm atmosphere on the boat and in the water. Not too many people on board which you see with other boats. The crew took extra time for us to enjoy the dolphins and snorkeling. Will definitely book with them again. Snacks were good too.

We had a wonderful day with our knowledgeable guide Brian and captain Eric. We spotted indeed several dolphins and the snorkeling site was great (we saw many barracudas and enormous sting rays among others.

Not for non-swimmers

This experience isn’t for non swimmers. If you are good at swimming then only go for it otherwise it’s not worth the time and money. We didn’t feel safe during snorkeling experience, looks like they didn’t care much about safety.

Hadden was fun and smart and taught us about the wildlife with fun catchy phrases that helped me remember what I learned. Great tips for snorkeling in Eco friendly ways. Plenty of time at the snorkel spot. Snacks were fresh and delicious. The boat was lovely and comfortable and the group size was small. It was refreshing to find a company in Key West that was primarily interested in protecting the ecosystem and teaching people about nature.

Great day on the water

The whole experience was wonderful. We got really close-up views of so many dolphins on the boat and many species of fish while snorkeling. The crew was engaging and full of information. The food was good as well! I’d highly recommend this tour.

Wish I could give more than 5 stars for this awesome trip. The crew (Libby, Brian and Cristina) were so knowledgeable and accommodating. Clearly their goal was to provide the best experience for their guests. My family of four adults loved every minute. From the boat ride, seeing dolphins, snorkeling in a great location and healthy snacks, we had an overall great trip. A wonderful way to spend the morning in Key West!

The boat was perfect clean, well designed, smokeless, and quiet. The staff was great and so were the snacks. We saw porpoises twice; on the way out and coming back in. The natural beauty of the coastal waters is special!

Lily and Jesse were both great and very knowledgeable guides. They knew exactly where to go to find dolphins and some even swam right up to the boat. The guides were a wealth of knowledge about the dolphins and the environment in the Keys. Snorkeling was great but it would have been nice to see a more exciting location like a reef. While the sponge garden was enjoyable and had plenty of wildlife it would have been nice to see bigger and more diverse sea life. Overall I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone wanting to see plenty of wildlife with a well educated crew.

Kyle and the crew yesterday were amazing. They shared a few valuable nuggets about animals and the area and the boat was calm and relaxing. No loud engine noise, easy conversation and soft sailing along the water. Snorkeling honestly was mediocre at best but in reality, the company on the boat and the easy going/relaxing trip out on the water was worth every penny.

The crew was awesome.Thoroughly enjoyed the tour and had the fun watching the dolphins in their natural habitat. Rachel was very informative. Me not knowing to swim was hesitant to get into water for snorkeling. But kayle and Rachel were so nice that they gave me confidence and also held me in hand and floated with me to give an experience of snorkeling. Very excited to experience my very first snorkeling in the sea.

Captain Katy and her 2 woman crew were awesome! They were all very friendly and knowledgeable — you can tell they have a real passion for the animals and our environment. This was a very family friendly experience (our 8 y/o daughter thoroughly enjoyed it!) and we highly recommend it for others, we had a great time!
