Overview
Explore the southern end of Bonaire on this combination sightseeing and snorkeling tour. See the solar salt flats and Salt Pier, as well as the historic slave huts. Keep an eye out for flamingos and donkeys along the way. Led by a PADI guide, you’ll snorkel in the island’s marine park area, which is located along the west coast.

CRUISE PASSENGERS - Please find the TOURISM INFORMATION booth, which is just outside of the arrival pier security check point gate. Your guide will be standing near that booth holding a white board with your name on it. Pick up starts 15 minutes prior to the specified tour start time. Time zone in Bonaire is AST, 12 months of the year. *If the published tour start time does not coincide with your ship arrival time - please contact me for adjusted pickup time. Minimum number of guests per booking - 2 persons. HOTEL GUESTS - Please meet your guide at the front desk area of your hotel. *On island guests must also have a valid Bonaire marine park pass ($40 ) to participate in this excursion.

Our guide Brenda was amazing! She told us nicely about the island: history, culture and wildlife. And as a beginner I felt very safe and enjoyed the snorkling a lot. So next time I feel comfortable to do it without as much support. After the tour she helped me organize another tour to see also the north side of the island with even more snorkling. Really great experience which I definately dont regret!

Brenda was absolutely fantastic! She gave us location where to meet and was there on time. She gave us so much information about the island. This was my husbands bucket list to snorkel Bonaire. We are both “older” adults and came with my son and his wife to celebrate my husbands birthday. She found us the perfect spot to snorkel and was so patient with us helping us get in and out safely! I can’t thank her enough for helping us all make such special memories! She even got us back to town in time for their parade.

Snorkeling…. Eddy took us to an amazing snorkeling spot and we saw so many beautiful fish. He got out there with us and pointed them out and told us what they were. He made sure we were all safe and comfortable the entire time.

Loved this small group (7) tour! We received plenty of information about the island and surroundings (but not too much). The van's A/C was a bit as nemic, but with the natural breeze and open windows we were all fine. The caves were cool, saw some bats and experienced utter darkness for a few seconds. The beach was good, saw a nice variety of fish. We were returned to our chip with plenty of time to spare

We booked with a picture of a turtle. We were the only people who booked so he said no turtles and refused to refund our $160. Very disappointed with this company.

Hi Angie,
The response from your guide that you spoke with in this case was a misunderstanding.
Turtles are wild animals, and while in the Bonaire waters, they are protected and not fed to increase their dependence to 'show up' for food. As turtle lovers, we enjoy seeing them when we are fortunate enough to see them.
They can appear at certain locations, but it is never guaranteed that you will see one.
Along with turtles, Bonaire also offers over 432 other marine species to view while snorkeling.

I was very excited about this excursion because I thought I’d get to be swimming with sea turtles… and I guess that’s because of the photo they use of the turtle swimming…. So we thought that would be something we would experience on the snorkeling part of the excursion…
Here is our full experience. We went to the tourism information booth outside the cruise port as instructed to do. We waited for some time when I finally decided to message the tour operator saying we couldn’t find our guide… just as I sent it - Eddy came over to us saying he was waiting at the other dock… I received a message back from the tour operator telling me to meet him where we were already waiting for him… I told her he finally arrived and we were with him. We walked back over to the other dock where his vehicle was parked. Which was a several minute walk. He had to move things around in his truck (to the bed) so we could get in. Off we went. Eddy was very friendly - so I want to be sure that is known.
I felt a little uneasy in areas of his driving. He would be talking and pointing but not looking both ways, I was sure we were going to get side swiped going through a round about and another time he pulled out onto a road without looking both ways after the snorkeling portion.
I really didn’t feel like he gave us the opportunity to get out of the car to stop and take photos except in front of the salt box. That was the only time I got to take two pictures, outside of in the water snorkeling. We drove by a beach where people had left some cool driftwood art and I would’ve loved to have gotten out and taken photos. I feel like he should’ve asked at the various stops - would you like to get out and take photos, and I didn’t feel comfortable with asking him to stop.
The snorkeling spot was awesome. We saw all sorts of different kinds of fish, so that was great - but it was a very short amount of time… but I do know it was a shorter excursion…
He did give us lots of information and knowledge about the island. My husband and I would love to go back and do more exploring and snorkeling… but feel like we would’ve been better off doing a self tour honestly.

Thank you for your detailed review.
The tour booked is a 3 hour tour and we do cover a lot of information during that time. We like to split the time driving for half of that time then spending the remaining time at the shore/snorkeling. I'm sorry that you did not have enough stops, as your tour was private there would have been no problem asking for stops - I encourage it. We strive to have happy guests each and every tour. I apologize for the driving habits and that will be addressed.
