    Our booking was changed to a private tour and we had a driver guide. He told us it was a bad time to visit as Batu Cave was overcrowded with worshipers and also Thean Hou Temple was closed for Chinese New Year celebrations. I've lived here for a few years and know temples do not close for CNY. We got the vibe that our guide didn't want to drive through the traffic and told us we can alter our plans. I insisted on sticking to itineraries with the understanding of the crowd but we did not enjoy the lack of enthusiasm and lack of conversations.
