Overview

This small-group hike takes you from Lima out to the desert to the special biosphere called Lomas de Lachay. Thanks Carlos for an enjoyable day. While it wasn’t the right time of year to see the green vegetation, I enjoyed having the park to ourselves, the views, the birds and the unusual rock formations. Also thanks for taking me to taste amazing seafood on the way back.

Best Trip with the Best Guide

My friend and I had the best time with Carlos, he gave us insight to so much of Lomas history and vegetation. We seen so many native birds including an owl, as well as eagles and some cute lizards. We loved the views and thanks to Carlos offering us sunscreen, we didn't experience another sunburn. What a beautiful experience to do this hike on my birthday and basicslly have the park to ourselves since it is Christmas. It was so peaceful and beautiful. Be sure to bring snacks just in case!

Great Day in the Mist

A great day at Lomas de Lachay with Rodrigo. Pick-up at our hotel was prompt and the stop for some fresh bread en route was amazing. The hike around Lomas de Lachay was do-able and interesting. While it was very foggy and misty, it was a magical walk through the woods.
