Visit to the archaeological sites of Wilcahuain and Antoaoco, remains from the Wari-Tiwanacu (600-800 DC) period. Here we observe funerary chambers built in various levels surrounded by the magnificent andean panorama of the Callejon de Huaylas Valley. Also visit to the Regional Archaeological Museum, where displays ofpottery, mummies,stone sculptures can be seen. These artifacts show different periods of the regional development with cultures as Recuay, Huaraz and Wari clutures. Ride up the Cordillera Negra to enjoy the magnificent sight of the Cordillera Blanca, the worlds highest tropical mountain range with awesome iced peaks between 18,000 and 22,000 feet above sea level, deep gorges, glacier tongues and alluvial valleys.

Take one of the most spectacular trekking excursions in the Andes, to lagoon 69: a peaceful turquoise lagoon next to imposing snow-capped peaks, a true natural spectacle. Immerse yourself in the stunning scenery, culture and vast history of this area. Exit the city of Huaraz until you reach Cebollapampa, starting point of the walk. The lagoon is easily accessible, and the road is full of impressive Andean landscapes. Once in the lagoon, you will have time to explore the surroundings and appreciate the scenery. You will have a box lunch after which you will start the return to the town of Cebollapampa. Once there, a vehicle will transfer you back to the city of Huaraz.

Depart in direction of Yungay for an excursion to Llanganuco, conformed by the beautiful lakes of Orkoncocha and Warmicocha, of intense turquoise waters, located over 3.800 meters above sea level and surrounded by lush forests of queñuales. Llanganuco is located in a narrow glacial valley and its lakes are flanked by mounts Huascaran (the highest in Peru, with 6.800 meters of altitude), Huandoy, Pishqo, Chapraraju, Yanapaccha and Chopicalqui of the Cordillera Blanca, the path of Maria Josefa and the Quebrada Demanda, forming in conjunction the Huascaran National Park and the Huascaran Reserve. On the way pass through the picturesque villages of Carhuaz, Yungay and Caraz. In the afternoon, return to Huaraz and the hotel.

Today you will cross the magnificent Callejón de Huaylas, a valley fed by the Santa River and located between the Cordillera Blanca and Cordillera Negra Mountain Ranges. On the way, you will visit the towns of Carhuaz, Mancos and Yungay, and while ascending towards the Cordillera Blanca the mountainous landscape will become increasingly spectacular. The granite walls of Huandoy (6395 masl) and Huascarán Mountains (6768 masl) make up a ´U´-shaped canyon, with the two turquoise lagoons of Llanganuco. You will find yourself in the heart of the Huascaran National Reserve, a massive laboratory of natural history where it is possible to learn about the tropical species of the Andes and their ecosystems. You will visit the Orcocha and Chinacocha lagoons (3850 masl), where queñuales forests and Quishuar trees can be seen. After lunch, you will be transferred back to Huaraz.
