All was great including the guide. The guided tour was as described. Gabriela spoke excellent English but had to translate into Spanish also
Response from Host, Mar 2024
It's wonderful to hear that your overall experience was great, including the guided tour with Gabriela. Having a guide who speaks excellent English can greatly enhance the experience for English-speaking visitors. It's also understandable that in certain situations, translation into Spanish might be necessary, especially for interactions with locals or when providing information in bilingual settings. Gabriela's ability to effectively communicate in both English and Spanish likely contributed to a smoother and more inclusive experience for everyone in the group. If there are any specific aspects of the tour or feedback you'd like to share, feel free to let us know. We're here to assist you further and ensure your future travel experiences are just as enjoyable!
A great evening!

The Larco Museum was amazing - and in such a beautiful setting. Our guide Victor gave wonderful information. Pisco sours in the Belgrave were fun - and a chance to get to know other travellers. The Magic Water circuit was definitely a highlight. And it was so easy being picked up and dropped off again at our hotel!
Awesome tour

Superb experience with incredible knowledgeable guide. Highly recommend. The Larco Museum is fascinating.
Good but overpriced
Katherine_S, May 2023
Our tour guide Gabriela was great! We enjoyed the Larco Museum the most with all the commentary from our guide. The tavern and water show were both enjoyable, and the company was very good about accommodating my request to start one hour later. However, in retrospect, the tour is overpriced and if I were planning this again, I would not book this tour and just go to the Larco museum on our own and enjoy dinner there.
A perfect evening in Lima

I was the only one on this tour, so I really felt like I got my money's worth! A personal and private tour of the Larco Museum was amazing. Suzanne was able to summarize and point things out that I would've missed if I had just visited on my own. She provided context and background that was missing from the museum's posted info. I also enjoyed the Taven and my first Pisco Sour. She was also great at providing other recommendations for things to do and places to eat while I was in Lima. Thanks, Suzanne!
Fun Night

I had heard that the Larco Museum and the Magic water circuit were two things I should see in Lima. This tour was a perfect way to see them both. The tour even included a stop for a Pisco sour and a traditional sandwich at one of the oldest bars in Lima.

Great private collections of pre-Peruvian artifacts from 3000 years ago. Must see with beautiful garden & surroundings. Tour guide, Victor, was very informative & knowledgeable. We had a nice pork sandwich with pisco sour. Nice water light show with history of Peru.
Larco museum was amazing

The museum was the real highlight of this tour. The water fountains were pleasant but would have traded them in for more time at the museum. Guide was informative, tour well organised. Enjoyed the visit to the tavern.
Great tour!

Our guide was very friendly, knowledgeable and shared information in a way that it was apparent that she loved her job. We enjoyed our time with her and especially appreciated her going above and beyond to assist in obtaining transport back to our ship.

The guide was very knowledgable at the museum. The light show was very disappointing. I booked the tour for the interest in the light show. You could do the light show on your own for only 2 soles. If you are looking for an English guide, be aware that they are usually small groups or by yourself. I was by myself on this tour - could be why I didn't enjoy it.

I forgot to rate this when we did it but I should have. The tour was great - the Magic Waters are in the Guiness Book Of World Records and well worth it. AND the tour gets you in without having to stand in line for an hour. The Larco museum was very interesting but the park and the Magic Waters were unbelievable!!! What a great water/lazer/light show. Don't miss it!!

I would have given this tour 5 stars, as the tour itself is more than worth it. My problem was with the guide. My paperwork said that the tour began at 4:30 he called my room at 4:00 and chastised me for being late. When I showed him my paperwork, he told me that I should be more careful in the future so I would not be late. Very negative first impression. He and the driver maligned Viator at that point I guess they did not know that I understood Spanish. Very unprofessional. Once the tour started, we enjoyed the museum and the water circuit but the initial meeting cast a negative feeling over the whole evening.

Really enjoyed the Tour , It felt like your friend from Lima was taking you around to see the sites. Everyone was knowledgeable about Peru and its culture, which I knew very little about . Husband loved the Pisco Sour the best here as a reat stop and we went all over South American.

Excellent trip and excellent guide. It would have been better still with30 minutes more in the Larco Museum as there is so much to see and you need time to dwell a bit.

Our tour guide, Gabriella, was very informative and taught us a lot about the Inca tradition. The tour of the museum was great and I learnt a lot. We were quite shocked at the erotica part and how graphic some of the pottery was - maybe it was the Peruvians who wrote the karma sutra after all! The added bonus was stopping at a local bar to sample a pisco sour and a pork roll which was delicious. Seeing it on a Friday night was an experience as it was packed full of locals, ready to start the weekend. We then went on to the water fountains and it was great to see families out with their children enjoying the show and the two fountains where you can get wet. Bring some spare clothes and a towel if you want to get wet - there's changing rooms where you can change. The theme this year was about Peru and it was great to see some of Peru's culture projected onto the water fountains.

Fantastic tour to Larco Museum and the Magic Waters park. My guide spoke English very well and provided an outstanding, informative tour. As a solo traveler I was especially pleased to have been picked up at my hotel.
