Much more than a Hollywood sign.

Phil gave a great tour giving all kinds of insights into why LA is LA. He was prompt, professional, interesting and humorous.

    Fun and informative tour!

Our guide Phil is very knowledgeable and friendly! He gave so much insight on LA and even history of Olympics in LA. I learned a lot about LA on this walking tour! I will recommend this to anyone who is visiting LA.
    Cool tour of LA

Fun and educational! Phil is a terrific guide, friendly and knowledgeable. He gave us plenty of suggestions for additional places to explore. Would definitely recommend.
    Great tour!
    Tim_T, Mar 2024
Phil did a fantastic job. He made history fun and fascinating. We didn't have to walk far to see the entire city in a capsule format. Very creative in terms of how the tour is done.
    The L.A. I never knew.
    Alexander_A, Mar 2024
Our guide, Phillip, was outstanding. He was extremely knowledgeable about this history of downtown Los Angeles and his anecdotes about the buildings brought the experience to life. The only downside is that I wish we had been able to spend more time in the Bradbury building on the upper floors and the elevator. But, it's a private building with tenants so I understand why we couldn't. My wife and I really enjoyed this day trip.
Early Hollywood and Architecture, a great mix
    Dan_S, Mar 2024
Phillip was an exceptional tour guide with a mastery of the information and history of downtown LA. He integrated architecture, early Hollywood history, and modern transformation seamlessly. I left the tour far more informed then when I began. That's the best recommendation I can give.
    Excellent tour

Phil was an excellent guide. He was extremely knowledgeable about the city and fortunately had a nice loud voice so we could hear him clearly over the city din!

    Nice experience
    Galip_A, Feb 2024
Phil was an exceptional guide, offering a kind and positive demeanor throughout our tour in downtown LA. Despite being local residents, we were introduced to hidden gems we had never encountered on our own. However, the tour's start was delayed by more than 15 minutes due to the time taken to gather the group, which, considering downtown's vastness, meant less time for exploration. For future tours, a more efficient use of time could enhance the experience even further. *Also, a reminder for participants: tipping is a significant part of the culture in LA. Don't forget to tip at least 20% per person at the end of the tour as a token of appreciation for the guide's efforts.
Excellent tour with knowledgeable and friendly guide.

Our tour guide Phil was excellent. Very knowledgeable and very friendly. An excellent tour. I enjoyed it very much.
    Fantastic learning experience.
    Seyram_B, Feb 2024
This was an excellent tour experience. Our guide was friendly, and brimming with knowledge on all the sights, sounds and local history. I have lived in LA for about one year and it was a fascinating learning experience; Bunker Hill, the Jewelry District, Grand Central Market, the Old Bank District, and more. The tour covered a rather short radius, but that area is packed with so much history, and information. I am thankful for the experience and our guide.
    Great but needs more walking
    Karim_H, Jan 2024
The tour was very good, Informative, on time.. it just could use much more walking areas and steps ..
    Great tour!

Phil was my guide and he provided a great 2 hour tour throughout Downtown. I learned many new things I otherwise would’ve probably never known. As a recently new local, i enjoyed this tour and recommend it as something different to do
    Informative tour of DTLA

Phil was charming and knowledgeable. I especially loved the “insider information” such as a rooftop view of the city that’s not well known.
    Quite enjoyable
    William_B, Nov 2023
Phil was quite informative and knowledgeable about the buildings and associated stories. The walk was easy and his delivery was clear and understandable.

Phil was a superb guide . Knowledgeable about LA and downtown but really engaging and happy to talk on a wide range of subjects . A top communicator who gave our small group a hugely informative couple of hours on this tour
    Born and raised in Cali...
    Gabriela_H, Oct 2023
Born and raised in Cali and I learned about so many gems in LA. Richard was informative and was considerate with only stopping in shades areas. I loved that it was only two hours, not overwhelming just the perfect amount.
