What To Expect
Spend a full day exploring the natural wonders of Australia’s Great Ocean Road. Your guide picks you up at centrally located Melbourne hotels in a comfortable, high-tech mini coach, where you join just a handful of other passengers for a personalized, small-group experience. The Great Ocean Road officially begins at Torquay, a famous surf town of gorgeous, sandy beaches. Stop at a beachside location before continuing through several charming port towns before stopping at Great Otway National Park, which boasts ancient trees among a semitropical forest.
The coastal landscape comes to a dramatic climax at Port Campbell National Park, where you can gawk at the Twelve Apostles—a grouping of massive limestone pillars that rise up out of the ocean.
The rugged cliffs along the Great Ocean Road once made for perilous navigation for vessels sailing into the port of Melbourne. Hear the tragic tales of Australia’s ‘Shipwreck Coast’ and visit Loch Ard Gorge, the postcard-worthy site of a notorious 1878 shipwreck.
Finally, view the Gibson's Steps for a dramatic example of the power of erosion. Take in the incredible cliff line and offshore stacks before continuing on your drive back to Melbourne.
Stop for dinner (own expense) on the return drive to Melbourne. Relax on the ride back to your hotel, or share snapshots of the day with family and friends using the coach’s free onboard Wi-Fi.

Everything about this tour was perfect. The views , the landscapes you pass by and the stops you make. Emily was a wonderful tour guide , she is so lovely and funny! Ask for her if you opt for this tour.
Eventhough the weather wasnt perfect , spots of sunshine with rain here and there. Great ocean vistas itself makes up for it.
The small group tour is perfect and everyone was kind and responsible.

Seeing the expansive landscape of not only the ocean road but also the green rolling hills, farms and the rainforest where quite beautiful! Being able to sit back and take it all in and not worry about driving was a treat! Our guide,Chloe, was very professional, friendly, enthusiastic about the history of the area and kept us safe and on track for our tour!

The Moonlight Sanctuary was lovely as was the penguin walk. All of the expeoences were shrt on tume. We had am hour at the sanctuary -- 90 minutes would have been better. We had 10 minutes at the Knobbies. We needed 30 to 45 just to walk the boardwalk and the Center at rhis location was closed. We arrived at the Penguin Parade with not enough time to collect supper, view the Center, or shop at the gift shop. Long bus ride for not a lot of reward.

A most enjoyable experience!! What stunning views!! I would definitely recommend! Rob, our guide and driver was friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic and the whole day ran like clockwork! Recommendations given for places to eat at both the lunch and supper stop were very helpful as were the details regarding where we were, time to next stop, what we were viewing as well as information about the area. Rob did a fantastic job! Do not be put off by the length of the day - it passed by so quickly - so many beautiful views to enjoy, lots of little stops along the way to look for koalas, take photos, walk on the beach as well as the 'main' sights, lots of thought have gone into the structure of the day. In an ideal world, at some places it would have been great to have a little longer to explore and take in the stunning views - I do appreciate that there are time constraints on a trip like this. A truly memorable day!

I enjoyed riding with others on the Great Ocean Road tour with Israel as our guide. As much as I was afraid that the whole day in the minivan would be too much, I wanted to see and experience the beauty of Australia without the hassle of renting a car and driving myself, so this tour was a good alternative.
Yes, there was plenty of driving (time in the car) on this day. But the drive was interspersed with stops and walks at scenic viewpoints, wildlife spotting areas, and cultural sites. At the end of the day, I felt that we had a lot of opportunities for walking ( my phone recorded over 13k steps). The ride was not too bad (I have motion sickness).
Australia has a lot of natural beauty, and the Twelve Apostles are a must-see. There was enough time for restroom breaks and food.
Our guide, Israel, entertained us (he sang for us), played excellent themed music, and provided much information.

Me and my son came to Melbourne just for that tour, and it did not disappoint. Our tour guide Jaimes made the time go by fast. He shared a lot of stories and history about the places we visited. We took a lot of pictures and created a lot of new memories. Thank you, Jaimes!

This tour provided a nice variety of stops on the way to the Twelve Apostles. Our guide Budgie was very personable and did a great job of providing information, playing good themed music, and keeping everything running on schedule. We were able to spend the right amount of time at the various stops and had the most time at the Twelve Apostles. We were able to see the formations from the various platforms and take the Gibson Steps down to the beach. Also, good attention was given to meal and restroom breaks. Was pleasantly surprised to have functioning Wi-Fi on the bus. This tour is a long day, but provided the opportunity to see many lovely places outside Melbourne.

Very disappointing, a road crash blocked the road to see the apostles which I accept can’t be helped but an alternative route could have been taken. Our guide was very apologetic but did not want to finish late. Viator said that we could attend the same trip the day after. We explained we already had another trip planned so would not be able to attend. The guide went on to explain we would get a full refund. Viator refused to even respond to our emails, offer any type of compensation, even a voucher off another trip would have been nice. Don’t tell people they will get a refund then ignore their e-mails. Use another company like ‘get your guide’ they are so much better and we won’t be using them again.
