The beautiful water while riding. Watching people snorkel, because I was afraid to. The music was awesome! The drinks were just ok but that's OK! Watching everyone enjoy themselves was my snorkeling. I didn't need to go underwater to get that. Thank you

Not a good overall experience!

We have booked excursions with Viator before when we travelled to Italy and had a flawless experience so we decided to do it again for Jamaica, reserved a booking 1 month in advance. Unfortunately the experience was less to be desired and left us unhappy to the point where we spent $100 USD for a private cab ride back to the hotel in Montego Bay. Our pick up time was 9:30am but was informed that it would be 10am, which is fine because we were informed early via text message by the operator at 7:10 am . The problem started when the pick up time came and went with no further communication. The bus finally arrived , half an hour to 45 minutes later starting the excursion with on a sour note. The bus driver tried to make up for it by driving fast to the point where I was extremely nauseous. One of the guest on board actually threw up at a stopping point. Then instead of arriving at the destination point (Margaretteville) to enjoy 7 mile beach , we were brought to a souvenir shop, which was not in our itinerary nor were we asked or informed of this side trip/hustle. At this point my husband and I were livid since the tour operator told us we would arrive at approximately 12pm to enjoy 7 mile beach. The bus driver then left us for an hour and a half to go pick up other guests and when we were eventually picked up and the destination point was literally 1 minute down the street. At this point it is now past 1:30pm , told to ENJOY 7 mile beach , and the Catamaran will be boarding at 2:15pm with a departure time of 2:30pm. So it gave us 45 minutes for the rat race to try and order food and maybe eat it , let alone ENJOY the beach. There were first time travellers to Jamaica on the bus and some celebrating their birthdays so I felt horrible for their experience. The rest of the excursion was good, but to potentially arrived back at our hotel at 9:30pm or 10pm and not the estimated 8pm was the tipper for my husband. This is my 8th trip to Jamaica and my husbands 5th trip so we have done numerous excursions and are not strangers to this beautiful island and its island time and have stayed everywhere on the Island too but this was extremely disappointing and may again just book with the hotel or a private company when in Jamaica.

A full fun day

It was a fun day and we enjoyed this excursion. Like others have said the catamaran is very, but we knew this going in. The crew was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed jumping at Rick’s café and the stop in Margaritaville for lunch.

Not enough time at snorkel/ricks

I thought the snorkeling and Rick's cafe was great but way tooooo short. I had no idea we were going to Margaritaville for two hours to just hang out. I would have skipped that part completely. The two things we wanted to do was snorkel and ricks and both of those parts were only about 50 minutes each and we were gone for almost 10 hours. So much wasted time .

Drama at sea

This tour was ridiculous. Where do I begin?? I was asked to meet at Margaritaville Negril “on the beach by the green fence with the white table, between 12:30-1:30pm, Boarding is 1:30pm.” No problem, I have a car. I showed up at 10am to enjoy the beach. 2pm rolls around, no white table on the beach by the green fence, no boat. Turns out the table was out front the restaurant, on the driveway, NOT by the beach. Boat showed up at 2:30, so it was super late. fast forward to snorkeling; it was underwhelming, tho we saw some pretty fish. While out snorkeling a fist fight broke out on board between 2 groups of passengers. (What is this, high school??) this resulted in a tense atmosphere the rest of the cruise. We were late leaving from snorkeling to Rick’s Cafe as the staff did what little they could do to diffuse the situation. We got to Rick’s late, and only had about 30-40m to get food then back on the boat. We were told the instigators of the flight wouldn’t be allowed back on board, that they had to take a taxi home from Rick’s. Boarding the boat back was another fiasco. Boat staff not only let the fight instigators back on board, but when others complained about it, those complaining were not allowed to board!! Once again another tense atmosphere on board. This was a terrible cruise and while the blame mostly lies with the idiots who can’t act like adults, cruise staff did not do anything to help the situation and even aggravated it further. I’d like my money back.

Fun snorkeling and beautiful sunset.

We booked the all day catamaran cruise with a visit to Rick’s cafe and snorkeling. Our pickup from our hotel went smooth. We got picked up at 1100. We ended up stopping at a souvenir shop on the way to the catamaran pickup. Every driver has deals with all of the shops to bring people by. The people that work at the shops follow you like a hawk and try to sell you everything. Our pick up point for the catamaran was at margaritaville. There are locals at the beach that will hound you to buy stuff from them too. Once we got picked up and in the catamaran we had a great time. The snorkeling was fun and the environment in the boat was cool. Once we got to Ricks cafe, we transferred to a smaller boat and shuttled over to the cafe. Rick’s was PACKED! Cool place to hang and have a drink but if you don’t like large crowds you will not enjoy it. The ride back to margaritaville and enjoying the sunset was great. After the day was over we went back to the hotel and enjoyed the rest of the night. This definitely doesn’t have to be an all day trip. We don’t load the boat until 2:30. I think it would have been a better trip if we showed up at margaritaville around 2:00.

Too much time on the bus to Negril and not enough time at Rick's Cafe

Excursion was too long and oversold. We thought we were going to take a bus to Margaritaville in Montego Bay Jamaica and then board the catamaran to sail to Rick's Cafe in Negril. We wound up taking a long bus ride to a shopping place in Negril - the bus was late picking us up from our hotel and then needed to pick up others from at least 4 other hotels. The bus ride to Negril was almost 2 hours with no bathroom facilities on the bus. We went shopping for about a half hour and the store owner gave us a 50% discount off of merchandise which was good. Instead of going to Margaritaville, we had lunch at Jam West and then had to walk to the catamaran in waist deep water, so we were wet. Once we boarded we realized that the catamaran was overcrowded and hardly any comfortable spots to sit on; and again we were wet. They did not perform a safety drill, so we didn't know where the life vests were, but they had vests for the people who wanted to go snorkeling. They allowed people about a half hour to snorkel and for those of us who didn't, they took pictures - which at the end of the excursion they never asked if we wanted to purchase them. Once everyone got back on board we were enroute to Rick's Cafe in Negril which we were told we only had 1 hour to be there. It too was overcrowded and luckily my daughter had reserved a cabana which we only had an hour in. The service was slow and we ordered food which was delivered to us as we were getting ready to board the little boat to get back to the catamaran. Oh and by the way, we had to get off of the catamaran into a little rickety boat to take us to the platform which was challenging to get onto in order to go up the cliff to Rick's cafe. Within that hour due to the time frame, we were able to see the sunset. The best part of the excursion. We left Rick's cafe and got back on the catamaran - thank goodness there were no casualties. They took us back to Jam West where we had to debark the catamaran in waist high water in the dark - again we were wet and had to board the bus for another almost 2 hour ride back to our hotel. Most of our time was spent on the bus.

Cruise was Awesome, despite not Sunny,, Enyoyed free Drinks which was a Touch/Music.. Ricky's Cafe was worth going/seeing for me - (Awesome Cliff Views) Blue Sea clear up 70-80%.. Snorkeling, which I didn't do. Looked fun all the same.. I'm not gonna be Mr 100%Spoiler Alert!!!!! Worth every Second, minute, hour/szzzz

Not worth the time or money

Full day tour means half day on a bus, 1/4 day just riding on the boat and 1/4 day actually doing stuff. Snorkeling was highly disappointing, boat is so full of people you can't even move and you get an hour at ricks cafe if your first off the boat and last to get on. The bus ride to and from hotel is a terrible experience as well, feel like your going to wreck at any moment.

Waste of a day and a waste of money. Endless time sitting around stranded at a venue of their choice outside of town so no ability to go elsewhere. Venue would not take card. Scary experience trying to get cash. Boat trip not exciting and music was extremely loud. Driver disappeared to take other people home leaving us waiting for a very long time.

Value your safety - Don’t use “Holiday Services” Book Private

Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend this tour for safety reasons alone. The only reason I have it 2 stars is because our driver, South, was very accommodating. What went right: - Taking the photo at the Negril sign - Stopping at the souvenir shop - Jamwest Beach What went wrong: - Getting on the boat, a lot of people were injured due to the staff who were assisting just leaving guests midway as we walked through the ocean to try and get on the boat. Waves were literally coming right at us, rocking the boat and the stairs and because of the this people were nervous getting on the boat. I’m not sure why this frustrated the staff enough to leave us hanging to try and get on my ourselves, but it left a weary taste in many of our mouths. Literally, the guy in sitting in front of me was bleeding down his leg. - the water was a bit choppy when we got on, so after the experience of getting on the boat, many many people were nervous to get off the boat to go snorkeling. The guy Peter, who’s supposed to be assisting you with the equipment to get in the water, kept getting frustrated about the fact that most did not want to get off the boat, due to the experience of getting on and the water being so choppy. - The “snacks” provided were puffed up potato chips and cheese puffs - the person who was supposed to be “mc’ing” to set the vibe of the boat, was non-existent; most of the people on our boat slept off - We couldn’t get off the boat at Rick’s Cafe because the water was too choppy; and honestly no one was upset about that because, the way the water was crashing into those rocks, was crazy. So, they said our bus drivers would drive us. However, they knew the water was choppy and could have taken us back to where our buses were so we could’ve spent more time at Rick’s Cafe. So many people got seasick on the way back from the water being so intense, it was crazy. - if you think getting on the boat was bad, hunnie, getting off was worse. They literally left us to get off the boat the same way we got on; in the water with the waves pushing us - We get to Rick’s cafe and we literally had 25 min to try and get something to eat. Note: this is where South became so accommodating; he literally wanted fit everyone on our bus to get their food order before we left - our bus driver picking us up in the morning, was supposed to be at 9:45am, but didn’t arrive until almost 10:30am, then got pulled over by the cops for not wearing a seatbelt and we ended up switching buses. We didn’t get back to our hotel until almost 9pm

You have to walk thru the water to board the catamaran. All my personal belongings got wet. The water was chest deep. The ones I’ve gone on previously we boarded from the dock. Had I known this information, I would not have booked.
