The tour was interesting and helped me gain a better understanding of the Valley and its significance for the Navajo people. Our guide was fun and generous in sharing his thoughts and wisdom.
Excellent informative experience with incredible scenery!!
Colleen_N, May 2024
Our tour guide was fantastic!! I especially enjoyed being able to have access to the restricted area that was possible because of being on the tour. There are about 20 companies who do the tour but I don't think many of the others don't have a navajo guide.
Power and privilege

Drinking in the powerful landscape and listening to our guide singing in Navajo. Our guide graciously share her land and heritage with us as we drank in the beauty and power of the landscape. I am grateful that we were allowed to visit Navajo land.
Fabulous tour guide!

Fabulous tour guide (wish I could remember his name!) He was very informative, played a song on his flute which was a special treat and overall made our tour so much fun!
Shawn was amazing!
stianeeriksen, Apr 2024
Shawn was AMAZING! We did the tour with him on April 2. He was a very good driver, an incredible speaker, and he played the flute so beautifully. He was very friendly and approachable, and able to answer all of our questions. This tour was the highlight of our 5 day trip. Many thanks and kudos to Shawn!
Awesome tour!

Sean was a great guide. He explained everything and answered our grandson's questions. A fun, informational tour.
Tour Exceeded Expectations
James_C, Apr 2024
Our guide was a young Navajo man named Shawn. He was extremely knowledgeable about the cultural history, the natural history, the geology, and many other things. He was able to take us into the restricted area. Very friendly. Don't think we could have done any better.
Great views and guide
diana_p, Apr 2024
We enjoyed having Larson as our guide. He had us laughing. He was very informative and was willing and ready to answer our questions, even personal ones. We liked going off the beaten track to see ruins and unusual rock formations that we had not seen when we drove the loop that morning. H helped us get great phlotos. We did not feel rushed at all.
Great afternoon!

Will was a great guide. He shared many interesting insights into Navaho culture. The scenery is absolutely stunning and we were able to go on roads that are closed to the general public.
A must try experience
Monica_G, Apr 2024
We were taken to places that we wouldn't have known of if we had driven by ourselves. We were even taken to a hogan. Our tour guides were extremely nice. Will recommend the tour to others.
Interesting and informative
Paul_P, Apr 2024
The guide was very knowledgeable about his people's history. It was very interesting to visit a lady in her house.
Must see, take the time!
Frances_D, Mar 2024
It was absolutely beautiful, guide was fun, knowledgeable and considerate. I have mobility issues and our guide was so considerate with my participation and getting in and out of the vehicle. He answered and shared so much about the history, the land, the culture.
Excellent tour
Chris_L, Mar 2024

Gary was a wonderful tour guide! Very knowledgeable with a great sense of humor:) Definitely more than happy with our decision to use Navajo Spirit Tours. If not for this tour we would have never seen Monument Valley to the extent we did!
Could not go
FrancisR_W, Mar 2024
Unfortunately we could not attend as our daughter was ill the day before and the drive there of three hour would have been too much for her . I’m sure the tour is great and hopefully in the future
Excellent Tour
Romilia_D, Mar 2024
Larson, our guide, was very knowledgeable and seemed to be well-rooted in their culture. He was pleasant, polite, and had a good sense of humor. He educated us through first-hand experience and stories that were passed down to him. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. We took the morning tour on March 19, and it was a rather cold day. Riding out in an open vehicle added some wind chill factor. So dress accordingly.
Great, very informative tour with Will
Michaela_R, Mar 2024
Loved seeing the rock formations and learning about the past and current people who call Monument Valley their home. Will was an incredibly knowledgeable guide!!!! Just wow. Glad we did the tour because the Wildcat Trail despite being pretty doesn’t bring you close up to the rocks and I wouldn’t have enjoyed going on the rough road with our Corolla. The extreme cold and open vehicle was a bit of a drawback for us.
