We never received the email that would allow us to use the audio tour. So not good. Had to drive on without the tour.
Response from Host, May 2024
Yikes, that's not the experience we want for you, Mark! The download link should have gone out right after purchase, but it might be chilling in your spam folder. We encourage everyone to reach out for help with any issues, and we missed the mark here. I'll get you a full refund to make it up to you. Please shoot me an email ASAP so we can get that processed.
Excellent Historical Background
Patricia_B, Apr 2024
Nice talk through Monument Park. It was difficult to stay on point because of the rough drive. Easy to download and use Ap.
Response from Host, Apr 2024

Unable to use
Colleen_B, Apr 2024
When we got to the visitors center, they knew nothing about this guide and told me it was a scam. I was unable to use it at all.
Response from Host, Apr 2024
I'm sorry about your experience with my Monument Valley Audio Tour, Colleen. It seems there was a misunderstanding at the visitor center; the tour is designed to start from that location and should not require their involvement. It's disappointing that we missed the opportunity to assist you directly, as our support team is available 24/7 to help with such issues. I want to make this right by offering you a refund. Please send a refund request, and we'll process it promptly. Your feedback helps us improve and ensure a better experience for all users.
Terrible Tour
Charles_K, Apr 2024
I would not recommend this to anyone. There is terrible cell service in the area of the tour. Downloading was impossible and even if I could was informed at the welcome center that the road (17 mile loop) was not accessible by our sedan car! I would like a refund as we never used the tour.
Response from Host, Apr 2024
I'm sorry about your experience with my Monument Valley Audio Tour, Charles. It's crucial to download the tour beforehand due to the spotty cell service in the area, and I always encourage this step. Regarding road access, sedan cars are typically permitted on the 17-mile loop according to the park's latest guidelines. However, I understand your frustration and am more than willing to process a refund for you. Please get in touch with me either through the app or via Viator voucher to sort this out. I hope we can make this right for you.
really beautiful and impressive
Harold_R, Jan 2024
I highly recommend this place, everything is very natural and beautiful, connecting with nature is very easy here, just disconnect from technology and enjoy the tour, the fact that you can do it in your own car makes it very intimate and pleasant, about the Viator app and the guiding tour I only have to say that it is excellent, congratulations, they have done a great job, my family and I enjoyed it very much 👍👍👍
Response from Host, Jan 2024
Harold, I'm delighted to hear that you and your family had such a wonderful experience at Navajo Tribal Park Monument Valley with the help of this self-guided driving tour! Connecting with nature while learning about such an awe-inspiring place is indeed remarkable. Disappointed! The...
Gail_H, Oct 2023
Disappointed! The monument valley park personnel said the Viator is a scam to get me information. Very disappointing.
Response from Host, Oct 2023
Sorry to hear about your experience, Gail. Our tour is purely an audio guide to enhance your visit and doesn't serve as an entrance ticket. It's always best to secure your entrance separately, and once you're all set with admission, fire up the app at the starting point and let the GPS-triggered audio guide you. On the upside, the stories on the tour aren't going anywhere. Kick back at home and let the tales transport you, or if you're up for a swap, reach out – I've got over 100 other tours you might vibe with. Do you need a refund or want to chat about where to wander next? I'm all ears! Safe travels!
This is a great app.
Debbie_D, Oct 2023
It was great! We didn't need a tour guide with this app. No wait, just drove right through. I would do it again!
Response from Host, Oct 2023
Hey Debbie, you had a smooth ride with my Monument Valley Self Audio Tour! So glad you enjoyed the freedom of exploring at your own pace. Remember, when the wanderlust bug bites again, my Action+ Tour Bundle has over 100 self-guided tours to enhance your adventures. Drive on and keep exploring!
Poor self driving tour.
Jeffrey_C, Oct 2023
Not enough mentioning of names of structures. Some roads mentioned to turn on were not open to public. Looks like it needs updating.
Response from Host, Oct 2023
Apologies for the mix-up, Jeffrey. We've recently fixed those direction glitches and always aim to keep things current. The tour is centered on Monument Valley's essence and rich history. You might have had a different takeaway if you'd made it through the whole tour. Still, remember the product you bought doesn't have an expiry. You can soak in the stories from the comfort of your home whenever you're up for it. Cheers to more adventures and stories!
Horrible
info_d, Oct 2023
"The NAVAJO bounced right back and claimed what was theirs'? Whitewashing much? Worst audio tour i ever purchased. Doesn't even name the buttes when you drive onto the scenic loop but spews historical nonsense. Save your money.
Response from Host, Oct 2023
I'm genuinely sorry to hear about your experience! I take my work extremely seriously, and I find the claims of “whitewashing” and “nonsense” particularly confusing. Can you explain what you believe is inaccurate? I’m also happy to move the stories about the buttes earlier (they’re currently at the butte viewpoint, which is a few stops into the tour). If I can do more, I’d be happy to do so. In the meantime, I’m happy to provide a refund -- please reach out.
Monument Valley tour
John_S, Sep 2023
The number of stops, the ease of getting to the views and the narration with the tour made it a really superior experience. The chance to choose the time at each location was a real advantage. We could choose to hike, just look or skip some locations as we wished. This freedom to choose really enhanced the experience.
Response from Host, Oct 2023
John, I'm thrilled to hear that my Monument Valley Audio Tour augmented your experience and allowed you to explore the beautiful Navajo Tribal Park at your own pace. The option to tailor your stops, whether to hike, admire, or move on, is integral to experiencing the location in a way that suits you best. I'm glad you enjoyed the narrative and found the tour advantageous in enhancing your connection to the awe-inspiring landscapes of Monument Valley. You might find my Action+ Tour Bundle appealing for more enriching explorations, offering a treasure trove of over 100 self-guided tours for your future travels. Happy adventuring!

Monument Valley Tour
Mary_J, Jun 2023
I wish that a few more monuments were described such as camel and elephant otherwise I thought the app was much better than just using the park route map. I would highly recommend it!
Response from Host, Jun 2023
Thank you so much, Mary! I’m so thrilled that you had a great time at Monument Valley with my tour and that it added so much value to your visit. If you plan on traveling more, you might be interested in my Action+ Tour Bundle, which includes all of my self-guided tours across the country. Thank you again!
Great for Family
eric_e, Jun 2023
Great app. Only issue we had was at the start. We started as suggested but the app thought the speed limit into the park was 15mph and it was 40mph. A few of the recordings ran into each other and we had to replay while we waited at the gate to pay. It was a really great experience though. Allowed us to drive Monument Valley without a guide.
Response from Host, Jun 2023
Thank you so much Eric! I’m so thrilled that you had a great time at Monument Valley with my tour and that it added so much value to your visit. If you plan to travel more, you may like my Action+ Tour Bundle (it has all of my self-guided tours, over 100).

Rudy_E, May 2023
Thr trip was awesome specially the early morning guided tour before the sun came out. The sunrise was absolutely stunning rising between the two totem pole. Took plenty of pictures to show off to friends and relatives. Then we took a 3.8 miles hike on one of the trails. It was tiring but worth it.
Response from Host, Jun 2023
Wow — please share a photo by tagging @actiontourguide. I’d love to see that! I’m thrilled that my tour of Monument Valley added so much to your visit. If you plan on traveling more, you might be interested in my Action+ Tour Bundle, which includes all of my self-guided tours (over 100). Thanks again!
A good but brief introduction to a fascinating place.
Dixie_S, May 2023
Monument Valley is a wonderful place and the self guided tour is very helpful, but brief. More detail on geology and history would be helpful, but this is a grid investment for the price.
Response from Host, May 2023
Thanks Dixie! I’m glad you had a great time on my Monument Valley tour and found it valuable for the price. I’ll look for spots where I can add more info but I’m limited by space (and the speed limit). Thanks!
Awesome trip
Michelle_H, Mar 2023
One of the best trips I have ever taken. Monument Valley is a must see. Monument Valley was so beautiful I had to go back the next day.
Response from Host, Mar 2023
Thanks Michelle! The natural beauty of Monument Valley is truly awe-inspiring, and I’m glad that my self-guided audio tour was able to add so much to your visit. I hope you try my other tours across the country on future vacations!
Very helpful!
Robert_P, Dec 2022
We have discovered these tours and gps tours like them. Each a has their querks. The monument valley tour it self must be old since a couple or the routes were closed. Recordings would repeats themselves which seemed odd. But overall having the content was great and added to the visit. Someday I hope to take a guided tour. We have learned that the “human” guides show you where to takes the best pics and take photos of your group which is great!
Response from Host, Dec 2022
Thank you so much for your feedback, Robert! I know some routes are not accessible in monument valley, so we made the route of a different color (Red) so travelers don’t get confused. I’m delighted that my tour of Monument Valley added to your learning and that you enjoyed it. I also have 100 other self-guided tours for other parks, scenic drives, cities, and historic sites in the US — hopefully, you’ll get the chance to try them next time! Also, to remind you, the tour you bought is yours for a lifetime. So, you can listen to it at home or on your next visit.
Very good online tour for monument valley
Gary_H, Oct 2022
We really enjoyed using the online guided tour, it allowed us to stay inside of our truck while driving through the valley and seeing the sights. It was a very windy day and there was blowing dust and sand all day, the people that bought the guided tours were sitting out in the elements while being driven through the valley by their tour guides.
Response from Host, Oct 2022
Thanks so much for your feedback, Gary! I'm thrilled that my tour of Monument Valley added to your learning and that you enjoyed it. I also have 100 other self-guided tours for other national parks, scenic drives, cities, and historic sites in the US. Hopefully, you’ll get the chance to try them next time! Also, just to remind you, the tour you bought is yours for a lifetime. So, you can listen to it at home or on your next visit.
Not To Standard
Tommy_S, Jun 2022
My wife and I had decided to do the self-guided tour of Monument Valley in our car. We thought this tour narration might explain to us the features along the drive, it really did not!! Yes, at the beginning it told us about the Mittens and 1 Butte. After that, it was a propaganda narration for the Navajo Nation. While that is not bad, that was about all the narration described. Yes, it told us where to turn but we knew that; but it did not point other major formations in the park much less tell us about them. Don’t waste your $10 but read the information provided at the visitor center to see this beautiful and Hollywood-famous valley.
Response from Host, Jun 2022
Thanks for the feedback Tommy! There are some wonderful Navajo legends and histories to learn about while exploring this land, and many are tied to the formations/geology visible along the drive. If the connection between the two isn’t clear, the tour is still available to review again (it’s valid forever). There’s a lot more than Hollywood movies to Monument Valley (though we cover that too)!
