Overview

Travel with a small group to three or four separate wineries in Napier. This 6-hour tour introduces you to a range of varietals including a glass of wine and chef's platter lunch at the Mission Estate Winery, followed by Church Road Winery (during the winter season), Urban Winery including optional craft beer tasting. Finish with wine, cheese, and crackers out amongst the vines.

We pick up from all hotels and motels and private locations and airBnB in the greater Napier area.

What To Expect

You're picked up around noon by 13 seat minibus for the Gourmet luncheon including afternoon wine tour of Napier. The 6-hour itinerary begins with a gourmet platter at the Mission Estate Winery where you can select a wine from the estate range to pair with your chef's platter.

Next up is Urban Winery, which features premium hand-crafted wines. You have the option of selecting 3 craft beers from their menu.

We then travel to the Esk Valley to Linden Estate vineyard where your guide accompanies you into the vineyard and explains the process of grape growing and vineyard management. Wine cheese & biscuits will be severed out amongst the vines during the summer season.

We then travel to Linden Winery to taste wines predominantly made from grapes your guide personally planted more than a dozen years ago.

You will then be returned to your hotel or pick up location around 5:30pm.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

Meeting new people, eating quality (and filling) food and tasting the most exquisite wine made in New Zealand were some of the highlights of this tour. Our tour guide Ross ensured we were looked after really well and provided a comfortable ride to and from the wineries we visited. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to book a wine tour.

Lunch up at the Mission is a special experience, especially on a sunny day. And yes chardonnay is the varietal that this region does best, and house guests to our place know only to bring along a bottle of chardonnay.

A thoroughly enjoyable trip. We were picked up by Gary and driven to meet with others taking part in lunch at The Mission. Here we met Ross, had an excellent tasting and brilliant lunch. All of the venues offered something different and the tour ended with a very sociable cheese and wine under the shade of trees in a vineyard! Excellent value for money!

I would definitely recommend this tour if you find yourself in the Napier area!
