As always, covering a lot of territory in a short amount of time. There was something to see for the alcohol enthusiasts, history buff, lovers of architecture and music aficionados. The safety brief was appreciated. The bikes performed well .

Bikes are in excellent condition and Sean is an informative guide with a great sense of humor. Bit tough to find in a residential area but trust your GPS.
Opportunity for Improvement: Communication & Transparency

I'm writing this review with the hope that Nashville Fat Tire Electric Bicycle Guided City Tour can improve their customer experience. I recently booked a 2pm e-bike tour via Viator for my exploration of Nashville. The morning weather cleared up nicely, so I double-checked the meeting address at 8am – no cancellation message was present. Feeling optimistic, I arrived at the location after a 1-mile walk from my hotel at 1:35pm. Here's where I encountered some issues. The meeting spot was an unmarked red house with a large yellow box truck at the entrance. Signage would have been incredibly helpful to avoid confusion. Thankfully, some friendly locals were able to assure me I was at the right location. After waiting for 15 minutes, I checked Viator again and discovered a cancellation notice from Sean, the owner, buried within the comments section. A direct notification via email, text, or phone call would have been a nice considerate way to communicate this cancellation. The message itself simply stated "not running this afternoon," lacking any explanation or empathy. While I understand unforeseen circumstances can arise, a bit more context and empathy would be greatly appreciated by customers. Additionally, Mr. Gilder mentioned a delay in my refund due to booking through Viator instead of "his" website, a detail not mentioned during the booking process. While the tour itself wasn't the issue (as it never happened), the lack of communication throughout the process caused significant inconvenience. With a free day in Nashville, this last-minute cancellation left me stranded and frustrated and frankly a bit frightened (solo female traveler) with no way to fill the afternoon and no access to the $129 I spent on the tour. Here's how Mr. Gilder can improve: Clear and Timely Communication: Cancellation notifications should be sent directly to customers via email, text, or phone call, not hidden within platform comments. Transparency: Explanation and apology for cancellations would be appreciated by customers. Additionally, booking policies regarding refunds for different platforms should be clearly communicated upfront. Signage: Signage at the meeting location would be a huge help for customers navigating to the correct spot. By implementing these improvements, can ensure a smoother and more enjoyable experience for future customers. While I cannot recommend this company at this time, I hope this review serves as constructive criticism to help this business grow and to warn costumers to be sure to check Viator comments every hour or so if booking here.
    Extremely Happy!

    E-Bikes are great fun
    Angela_F, Mar 2024
First time to ride an e-bike, how to instructions provided, explanation of lead instructor signals provided in advance; historical information provided along the way. Lead provided water and a snack. Great fun, want an e-bike of my own now as well as the other 3 riders I rode with around Nashville.
    Best way to see Nashville!

    Just enough excercise..
    Ryan_W, Mar 2024
Guide was knowledgeable, very safety concious and aware of surroundings in moving about some busy areas. One of the (limited) engaging things to do with an under 21 tourist in your group in this town, and a trip highlight for us.
    Great way to see Nashville!

    Tour again? Yes!
    Mary_K, Feb 2024
I have been to Nashville 3 times this year and have enjoyed the tour each time. It was fun with a large, rowdy group the first time and just as much fun with just my daughter yesterday. Riding an e-bike is thrilling and surprisingly easy to master during the tour, but what makes the experience even better are the professional tour guides. They make you feel safe with careful instruction, teach you so many things about the city and inject humor to make for a thoroughly enjoyable ride. I have had a slightly different crew each time, and all were superlative. The route is perfect for getting an overview of the whole city. I highly recommend starting your vacation with this adventure—you see so much and it helps you make informed decisions on where you want yo spend the rest of your time in Nashville. Im sure I will go on the tour again when I next visit. As our guide says “let’s roll!”

We had such a great time, Sean was great about explaining the bikes, the route, the city - he really made us feel comfortable and we loved his knowledge of the city. Awesome way to see the city and not just Broadway.
