Very long and ardious journey by an ancient coach. The coach was probably built by Barney Rubble it was that old and had a dangerous ragged bit of metal hanging out from the seat in front. We bounced along for 8 hours stopping for 10 minutes every 2 1/2 hours. No aircon on the bus the first day as it broke down. Hotel was clean but very basic and the food at each stop was again very basic. The Falls themselves were very impressive and our guide did try hard to make it as interesting as possible. The native dance show was very good. The 1000 Island boat trip was very good also but with so much travel involved there was little time at each destination. Not really a pleasant experience due to the old coach and rushed travel.

Without a doubt Niagra Falls was the highlight of my trip to the USA however there is a lot of traveling so if you are not keen on coach travel this is certainly not for you. Thanks to one lot arriving late we left over 20 mins late so had to cut down on the time at a couple of stops and no prizes for guessing which were almost always the last back we did not go to Old Fort Niagara which is listed as a stop I never asked but it was fairly obvious it had to be skipped thanks to those who were always late. Niagra really is one of those places you have to see to really appreciate the size of it and the Indian dance show is also great and a must see. After visiting the falls there was quite a drive to the hotel though but the hotel was far better than I expected. One thing you should be aware of is there are a lot of extras it does say so but some obviously did not read the imfo. the extras were about 140.00 I had already worked out that it would be somewhere around that area but there were those who obviously had no idea that there were extras. Unfortunatly things went wrong on the 2nd day the Thousand Islands boat trip comes at a good time to take a break from being in the coach its fairly good but not great though. After this and lunch at an eat as much as you like Chinese so if you are not a lover of Chinese food then dont pay for this as an extra just go somewhere else and there are a couple of choices for something else things went wrong somehow we got behind Schedule and thanks to one person bulling the guide to divert to drop him off we arrived back in Boston which had now become the last drop off point at 22.15 which was one hour 15 later than the estimate and had the driver not been right on the speed limit for the last hour and a half it would have been even worse so well done to him. I hope to one day return to the USA and Niagara will certainly be on the visit list however it would prob not be a repeat of this trip as I dont think I would bother with Boston again but if I did go back to Boston then I would certainly consider doing this trip again
