Overview

Learn the basics of Italian cooking—and prepare pasta from scratch—with this hands-on, Italian cooking class. Pick between early and late start times, make your own way to the Lower Manhattan venue, and grab an apron. With your chef’s instruction, you’ll learn how to make your own pasta dishes, as well as starters and tiramisu for dessert. At the end of class, sit down to enjoy the fruits of your labor.

    Chef Paige and Chef Mark were awesome! Very patient with us. Making fettuccine was a riot as we passed the growing length of pasta around 20 people and it was still growing!! Making the ravioli was fun and satisfying. Making fresh mozzarella from scratch was amazing. The final meal of chicken Marsala, cheese ravioli, fettuccine with pesto, topped with our own individually made tiramisu was amazing. A great activity for family and friends! Thank you all. Hooray for Self-Up!

    Chef Tianna is beyond amazing! I loved every moment of this class! Although I was traveling solo, all of the couples and Chef Tianna made me feel so incredibly welcomed and included. 12/10 experience! The food was amazing. I loved making the pasta and watching the demo. We had SO MUCH of food! We were all pretty famished, so we ate 80% of it 😂. You all should definitely attend one of their classes!

    We had a great time. There was so much food we had to take our hand made tiramos with us because we could not eat another bite! It made for a great breakfast the next morning!!

    We had an amazing time at the cooking class. We started off with some wine with a charcuterie board, and then proceed to making different types of pasta, tiramisu and salad. The chef was very informative and the experience is very hands-on, so all ages would have a lot of fun. There’s also a great amount of food to eat in the end which would definitely fill you up!

    Enjoyed the time with my girlfriend but we were less than impressed with the overall experience. Most of the food was already made ahead of time- we essentially mixed dough and put it through a pasta strainer. Wouldn’t go to this one again.

    What a night ! Took my mom here for Mother’s Day and Chef Danny and Mark were incredible! They made the experience so joyful! They broke down the steps so simply that everyone was able to do it! They also gave fun little facts about food. We made some fresh mozzarella which blew my mind to see how it is made, ravioli and fettuccini. The pasta was from scratch from start to finish minus the fillings and the sauce which our lovely chef prepared ahead of time. We also made our own tiramisu! Everything was done in a timely manner and it was a great pace. I want to say the whole thing was about 2 1/2 or 3 hours! Would love to do it again! Highly recommend!

    Chef Danny B was super knowledgeable and personable. H connected with everyone there and made sure to explain everything so that people with different skill levels could understand and still do their part. Chefs Fran and Mark were also super helpful and very kind. Everything was truly delicious and it was time well spent.

    Chef’s microphone very loud, then turned on boom box very high. worker dropped salad greens on floor & put back in fridge. 9pm too late to eat dinner. Sodas were warm all nite. No ice in soda bin. Had to ask for ice. Ritz crackers are too low end. Dinner was not that good.
