Best Food Walking Tour In NYC (in my opinion)!

I have taken several food walking in NYC -- and this was, by far, the best one. Greg was so knowledgeable and fun! It felt like walking and talking with family or friends! We learned so much -- and ate even more. Great variety of foods -- and so plentiful! I can't wait to get back to NYC to take another one of his tours.

We wanted to see Lower Manhattan on our latest trip to NYC. SO why not a Walking Food Tour? We reserved a spot with GregWalksNYC for a chance to see Little Italy and Greenwich Village. What a treat! The tour started at St. Anthony's church where we sampled the most decadent chocolates while Greg told us about the building and the Italian immigrant families who founded it more than a century ago. As we strolled thru the neighborhood, we learned the stories behind the storefronts. The market where fresh pasta is made daily...we had authentic hand-rolled meatballs and rich creamy, (Arborio)rice pudding. We drank cappuccinos from a family importing coffees and teas for generations. We ate wonderful lunchmeats and finished with Italian pastries. When Greg leads the tour you won't get an inside look.you will become an insider.

Greg KNOWS his Greenwhich village history and Italian food! Every bite was delicious and a few of the stops were in unexpected- but fantastic food- shops. We liked the variety of savory and sweet, as well as the history of each dish. This was a memorable tour!

Wow, what a great tour with Greg we had. We met him at the church, and the eating began. Greg was amazing, knew all the places of good italian food. He was a great guide, knew Greenwich village well and we did not go back to our hotel hungry. Thanks Greg.

The tour was great. Greg knows his neighborhood, and brings it to life with stories of the history of the area, family, and made us feel like we were part of his family. It is a small group tour, so he is able to give personal attention to everyone on the tour. It was a wonderful combination of the history of the neighborhood, as well as taking us to shops that were institutions in the area and trying their delicious treats. The tour really takes as long as you have questions. Greg does not cut you off. We had no regrets, and it was well worth taking.

Our tour guide Greg was very knowledgeable and very engaging. His enthusiasm for the tour was impressive. My group was 6 Italian-American ladies well versed in our Italian-American heritage and Greg was right on point with the sights and the very delicious Italian food samplings. We ended the tour with an appetite that was more than satisfied. The Italian treats were so authentically Italian! Thank you Greg for such an enjoyable tour.

SUNDAY LOCATION WRONG - DESSERT TOUR?

Should be able to TRUST that correct address will be added to calendar. If SUNDAY start address is DIFFERENT make a separate booking for SUNDAY. Both parties were waiting at WRONG LOCATION!!! Not much FOOD provided - mainly very small desserts (STRANGE). Visited 2 churches - interesting but not pertinent to a food tour.

Mary, It is most unfortunate you found the food samples strange and were displeased. Trip advisor clearly indicates all Sunday Italian Food Tours start at Faicco's Bleecker St. I also pointed out where on the TripAdvisor app shows Sunday's starting point. St Anthony of Padua and Our Lady of Pompeii churches with other historic site have always been part of this food tour. they're germane to the Italian experience of this neighborhood. The savory samples included Neopolitan meatballs in sauce, with fresh baked Italian bread, Arancini, Bocconcini, fresh garlic knots and potato focaccia. It is not mainly very small desserts. Thank you for input. I strive to provide my tourists with an excellent experience.
