Discover the wonder and wildlife found throughout Winter Haven’s famous Chain of Lakes during this guided tour. Explore this serene area of Central Florida with a local guide who will sail you around five or six of these stunning lakes. Bottled water is provided on the pontoon boat to keep you hydrated under the sun. Spot otters, turtles, alligators, and other wildlife as you learn about the area’s history.

      Your tour will depart from the dock at Harborside restaurant. Please proceed to the dock. The captain will be waiting for you. DO NOT check in with the hostess in the restaurant as he/she will not have any information about your tour. Restrooms do not open until 11:30am so please plan accordingly.

    You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

    • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
    • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
    • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
    • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
    • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

    Pontoon ride in the chain of lakes

    The wildlife we saw. Alligator, eagle, great blue heron, osprey, cormorants. Our guide provided historical information along our route.

    Very nice pontoon boat ride through the Chain of Lakes! Inexpensive at around $25 a person. Bob was very informative and friendly. I will be Returning in December with my son and his fiancé!

    Rich was a knowledgeable tour guide. He was careful to explain all of the interests along the tour - alligators, many birds, social attractions as well as historic homes. The size of the boat was just right for this tour.

    From the time we stepped on the vessel we were greeted by the friendliness and professionalism of our tour guide - Captain Rue. We absolutely loved the diversity of wildlife we seen, and boy it was diverse: from alligators 🐊 to tortoises, pelicans, great blue herons, snake birds and even great bald eagle. Would strongly recommend it to anyone interested in wildlife.
