Overview

Start at Wekiva Island, just outside Orlando, with an orientation to stand up paddleboarding then head up the river and into the Wekiva State Park. Along the way, see the lush trees and greenery of the area, and likely wildlife. Once you reach your destination, you’ll have the choice to explore or take a relaxing break. The return trip is an easy float as the gentle current pulls you home.

    drive thru the gates on the right at the end of miami springs drive, take an imediate left over the small bridge. continue past the first parking lot and the volly ball courts on your left, park in the next lot where ever space is available. your guides and group will be by the kayaks and kayak racks.

A Wekiva thrill ride

Ned, Ann, and Amy were wonderful guides/helpers. This was only our 2nd time on paddleboards. Steering around logs, other kayakers, bends in the river, were challenges, that made it more interesting and really gave you a feeling of much accomplishment. The added "thrill" of watching Ned and others swim through the crack at the springs, made it a day to remember!!
