Make your way to the start of the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway to being your day of adventure. The tram operates throughout the day, so the timing and duration of your experience is up to you.
As you climb aboard the world's largest rotating tramcars, be prepared to rise from the floor of the Sonoran Desert, where temperatures frequently reach as high as 120 degrees Fahrenheit (48C) to the cool alpine air at 8,516 feet (2,838 meters). Pass through enormous Ponderosa pines in this arctic-alpine forest, enjoying views of the San Jacinto Mountains and Chino Canyon.
When you reach Mountain Station, disembark to explore the facilities, which include observation decks, a cocktail lounge and dining facilities. Pause to watch a short film on the construction of the Tramway, then head out into the 14,000-acre (5,665-hectare) Mt San Jacinto State Park and Wilderness Area. Make use of the 54 miles (87 km) of hiking trails on foot in the summer or by snowshoe or cross-country skis in the winter.

- Please present voucher to the ticket office. Tickets will be timed for the next available tram car as a first come first serve basis.
- Distance is approximately 12,800 feet, with a vertical ascent of 5,873 feet - 15 minutes travel time one way
- The tramway is known as a double reversible type of aerial tramway. Each car remains on one pair of track cables moving up and down without turning around. Each car serves as a counter balance to the other, the descending car is helping pull the ascending car up the mountain

We road the tramway to the mountain top in Palm Springs, CA. I bought our tickets online and we were able to walk in with our voucher and get on the tram immediately. No wait!

I was really nervous when I realized I bought tickets from a 3rd party vendor. I was scared something would go wrong and I would let all 11 people in my party down. But, I was so wrong!!! It was quick and easy and hassle free. I will recommend you to my friends and definitely use Viator again and again.

The ride up the tram was quite the ride, especially when you go through the towers. The theatre story of how it was built was very interesting.

Very well organized and despite having to wait for busses and your turn on the tram all goes very smoothly. Fun and beautiful landscapes and scenery. Staff are well informed and very helpful!

The tramway is a must for anyone visiting Palm Springs. We enjoyed the views from the tram and up on San Jacinto. It was a good walk down on the concrete walkway to the trails. We walked the shorter trail since snow was on the ground but it was absolutely beautiful and a well marked trail.

The Tram trip and Peaks lunch were perfect for 3 78 year old couples with 3 canes between us. Just a couple places with too many stairs. By and large A+.
Viator not too handy causing circular attempts to sign I , only to learn they just needed drivers license to get tickets
