What To Expect

Receive a pickup from your Penang hotel in the morning, after which you’ll be transferred to the foot of Penang Hill for a ride aboard the funicular to the summit. Upon arriving at the top you’ll head inside The Habitat, a recently-built ecotourism center situated amidst the virgin jungle.

Take a walk beneath the ancient trees of this primeval forest, an ecosystem that has likely existed in this same location for more than 130 million years. You’ll follow a 1-mile (1.6-kilometer) nature trail, enjoying the local flora and fauna plus views of the great Penang Island. You’ll take a break for lunch at David Brown’s restaurant, an eatery that celebrates Penang’s British colonial legacy, before heading back to the Penang Hill railway station to return to your hotel.
