What an enjoyable day. I love learning the history of my heritage and some interesting facts I wouldn’t have thought of.
The businesses that we visited were happy to see us and assist us with our questions and purchases. Cookie and Lisa were fun too at the visitor center. Jackie was a wonderful tour guide who really knew her history. I highly recommend this tour whether you are Italian or not.

Chef Jackie did a great job “inviting us into her neighborhood”! She shared her knowledge freely and her relationships throughout the market. The mix of savory and sweet bites ending with delicious pizza was “just right”! Would highly recommend.

Chef Jackie was great. She is very knowledgeable about Italian cuisine though this is not where her expertise ends. She is a walking encyclopedia on Italian history in south Philly. It’s lovely to watch her interact with the locals of the area which adds an air of authenticity to the tour.
We loved the tastings which were selected carefully to cater for all types of audience. We visited some really eclectic stores which enabled us to buy stuff that we would not ordinarily do at other places.
Over all a five star experience. Really appreciate having her on the tour.

Chef made this tour remarkable!! She covered a lot of ground in a little area. We ate, we had coffee, we learned history and all sprinkled with laughs. Excellent tour. One of my favourites to date!!

Jacquie greeted us a few minutes early and was so friendly, kind and knowledgeable. We were the only couple there due to it being Easter weekend, but she ran the tour anyway! We got the best of both worlds, as she is not only a chef but also a lifelong resident of the neighborhood. She shared so many interesting stories about the history of the foods we tried as well as the history of the neighborhood. The food was absolutely amazing! We went back to several places after the tour with our shopping bags because we wanted to bring a little bit of everything home! Parking was easy and very close. Would highly recommend!

This was a great tour, Chef Jackie kept it moving at a really good pace - but also told us tons of tales of the neighborhood, history, interesting facts. And the food was great. We thoroughly enjoyed it! Highly recommend.

Really enjoyed the cheese shop and the kitchenware shop. Patsy’s knowledge of the neighborhood and the shop owner histories and walk through the neighborhood made the tour even more interesting.

Chef Jacquie made our tour of the Italian Market memorable. She is a native, and a chef, and knows everyone there. We went off the beaten path and even tried a few extras. It was a wonderful tour, and we will definitely try another of hers on a return to Philly in the future! Highly recommend!!
