On 12/8 we booked this excursion with a group of people 2 separate bookings. One with the review below Jillisa C & then mine with a total of 3 people. We received a call from the host stating he could not accommodate our reservation because there wasn’t enough people going and our location was too far. He then told Viator we booked last minute which if the date and time should not be available / be an option to book/ the host calendar should be closed out! Like other host on Viator have cut off times for booking! Our location was also a pick up option / check point , that the host then said was too far and he did not have enough of us going to take us on the trip as it was 3 hours away from us! The minimum amount of people required to book was 2, we booked 2 seperate groups with a total of 5 people. We asked the host for a refund since he was cancelling in which he then HUNG UP the phone and told us to call viator. His story remains inconsistent. The representatives on Viator were also very rude we spoke too and hung up on us twice and also only offered a half refund . They immediately sided with the host said. We never received the services / excursion and THE HOST CANCELLED not us! He is scamming people for there money! Do not book!! I am disputing through my bank. I have booked with Viator on several occasions and am extremely disappointed with the quality of service provided by Viator! Unacceptable!

Hello, good evening, unfortunately you booked from a place that is not on the pick-up list. When that happens, we try to communicate with the clients to organize the pick-up from the place where they are staying, but when I spoke to that person, Jullisa C, she was with a quite arrogant attitude about the explanation about the way of the pick-up because it is not on the list that is already established and what she asked us is how far Tamarindo was from the volcano where they were located, which was given in an estimated time that is around 2 hours, unfortunately many people are only guided to go to Tamarindo by its nightlife, parties and of course the beach for surfing, but they do not notice that to tour all the activities are between 2 to 3:30 hours and that person asked them To the others, who I imagine were you, the distance was too much and you no longer wanted to go, so I told you that due to cancellation policies, they should make the cancellation request with Viator and that's how it was that same night I received the cancellation request by email. of their respective reservations, which I gave them to accept, it is illogical that I would pick them up the next day if you yourself requested the cancellation by phone and then in writing through viator and both viator and my company are serious companies that follow the processes and policies that are in the reservations, unfortunately you booked late, they made us rush to organize everything for you and in the end because they didn't think it was the distance, they decided to cancel on my part and both returns were accepted and for 50% because you have to make transportation reservations, guide among other things, but I invite you to read all my comments, all people are very satisfied with my services, unfortunately I have 2 bad comments from people who did not even do the activity for their own reasons you and your friend jullisa and many good ones comments from people who have done the activity and were very happy, thank you very much all the comments are well received since we learn from them how to improve to avoid these situations, Pura Vida lifestyle nice night!!

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS GROUP !!! I received a phone call from this tour operator the night before our excursion. Stating that he could not pick me and additional person up, because it was only 2 people and the distance to pick us up was too far. So I said that was fine and I would just take the refund. Now the tour operator is not answering Viator so I can received a refund and Viator is now giving me a hard time processing a refund when I informed them about this situation. Mind you another group had the same issue and received their refund.

Hello, good morning, I'm sorry to hear that but that area of Tamarindo is very touristy with many parties, it is also home to many small accommodations like Airbnb and we cannot have all the places on the list, however we try to coordinate the pick-up with the clients either via mail or telephone since many of these places are difficult to access either because of the streets that are too small for the van or because they have a security guard and access needs to be coordinated and another thing is that most activities are very far from Tamarindo between 2 hours to 4 hours of travel, I do remember that when we spoke on the phone you did not listen to me very well or understand me very well but I remember that when you asked me how long it would take you said that it was very long and that you wanted to cancel as your reservation was Last minute for the next day, what I recommended was that he contact Viator customer service to process the reservation because I don't like to be the one who cancels reservations, in fact in more than 4 years of working With Viator I have only canceled one reservation because it is in another province very far away, more than 6 hours away, but it is important that you also say that you have already been given a full refund for that reservation. We had an awesome time! We walked the hanging bridges, ziplined, rode horses, did the mud bath and the hot springs, and lunch was provided. It was a blast. Luis was an excellent tour guide.

This was an amazing tour. You get the opportunity to do a lot of activities in one day. Just be prepared for a lot of hiking. Our tour guide, Mainor, from Seven Sense Costa Rica, was a friendly, knowledgeable guide and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with him. He was very patient with all of our questions. Would definitely book a tour with him again.

The tour was going very well initially, we did the hanging bridges which was amazing but things went downhill before to long. There were several other issues but the main problem started during the waterfall section of the tour. We were disappointed that the waterfall was extremely small, it looked like 2 people were pouring cups of water from the rocks. When I brought this up to the tour conductor he left the area while we were not looking and we had to find our way out of the waterfall area. Once we got to the main road we had to search for him and ask another tour operator to locate him. He came walking up without any apologies or explanation as to why he left us. Once I expressed my displeasure with what was taking place he was extremely rude to me and walked away again. He said that "people like you" act as if you need an elevator to get around. My friend was keeping up with him but I was a little behind. It was extremely rude and insensitive for him to say something like that to me. Even before I got to Costa Rica I emailed the tour company to let them know that I had knee issues and I would be slow when navigating certain areas. I checked in advance to ensure that this tour was one that I could maneuver physically. All in all, it was the worst tour I have ever been on, not because of Costa Rica which is beautiful but because of a rude and nasty tour operator.

It is remembered that when they asked me about viator how the activities were many days before doing them, I explained to them that the walking was of a medium-high intensity for about your knee problem and your answer was that you could do it and unfortunately when you got to the place, many of the activities that you did not want to do were your decision, like the horses because you were scared, you only got on, you took a photo in the horses, the same thing happens when doing the zipline he was scared and he did not want to do it. I also remember that of the 7 cables that are there we offered him to do the last 2 and when you arrived you treated the guide of the place and me badly because it was not that what you expected they were very high I said let's do the same in Costa Rica we have hundreds of ziplining of all kinds of sizes throughout the country and those from there are made from children over 3 years old to older adults, also the slide there you did not want to do it where most of the time the clients even repeat it, after the matter of the waterfall, it is that in costa rica we have hundreds of waterfalls and that one that is there is not small as you say, and I remember that You already asked when we were there about another waterfall that is in another area of the volcano where there are more than 15 waterfalls. The tour that I work is the sector of the volcano called Buena Vista or Mega Combo and the waterfall that you already asked when we were there. It is in another place called hacienda guachipelin tour that I do not work, so my recommendation to you was to ask and inform yourself well before booking.
