Overview
Wildlife enthusiasts will love this one-hour crocodile-spotting cruise on the Daintree River. Unlike many other tour boats, this one is solar powered so it's very quiet, doesn't disturb the wildlife (or you), and is free of fumes. Look out for crocs as well as other wildlife like snakes, frogs, and many kinds of birds.

This was absolutely one of the most informative and enjoyable things we have done in far North Queensland.
I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area.
Our guide Mark was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging.
We were fortunate enough to see newly hatched crocs, a small year old croc, pythons, nesting river birds and more on this relaxing meander along the Daintree.
Really was fantastic.

What a great trip! Our tour guide was very informative and was very knowledgeable about the crocodiles and the Daintree River. We saw 4 wild crocs! 1 big boy 1 medium female and two little babies, it was so enjoyable to see them in their natural habitat rather than at a zoo or sanctuary so it was an overall awesome trip!

The Solar Whisper was a good choice as it was a small quite vessel, able to get up close to the Crocs without disturbing them.

Had an amazing time. Great guide very knowledgeable and loads of wildlife to see. The guides knew were to go to see the best wildlife. Tour is in a good size group and great location

Seeing the crocodiles in the wild was totally amazing and just loved the experience of the Daintree River environment. The trip was made even better by the passion of our guide John who shared his amazing knowledge with us. Well worth the price paid.

The tour was very informative! We learned a great deal about the history of the area and the guide showed us other wildlife besides the crocs (mangroves, tree snakes, etc). Note in the summer months the crocs stay in the water. If you come during the winter you will see them outside the water.

This was a great tour! We heard about it last minute from other travellers and booked a few hours in advance on the last available time slot. The tour itself was great - really easy going and the guide was extremely knowledgeable. We saw three crocs (one female and two little juveniles) but it is luck of the draw - we were there in November when they’re even harder to spot than usual. Took an hour in total. The boat was a lot smaller than some of the other ones on the river so I would definitely recommend this tour if you prefer not to be in the crowds.
