We had an excellent experience with our tour guide Alex. It was a half-day adventure with a hike that ends at a beautiful waterfall/mini lake to swim in. The hike is very rocky though - bring hiking shoes!

      Diego did a GREAT job
      AJ_U, May 2024
This was awesome! Diego helped guide us through the jungle and safely escorted us to the waterfall. A great tour and one I highly recommend, especially if you enjoy the beach tour.

Our guide was excellent. Very personable person made it a excellent experience. To bad all your guides aren't as personable
Great way to get in some activity while away and to see more of the local area.

Alex did a great job of showing us the variety of trees and history of the region. Swimming in the waterfall pool was a great way to cool off after the hike!
      Fun morning trek!
      Andrew_F, Apr 2024
Our guide, Alex was very friendly, knowledgeable, and patient with the group. Alex greeted us outside the Oxxo and guided us onto the bus. This is a fun little hike! Bring quality hiking or closed-toe shoes as you will have to navigate over rocks frequently. Alex stopped the hike a couple times to point out some interesting attributes of some of the local chite trees and a tree bark that is used in digestive tea. A very reasonably priced morning adventure that we recommend as long as you aren’t limited physically! My 9 and 10 year old boys loved it and had no issues on the hike.
      Fantastic

Great hike! The second waterfall is a bit trickier of a hike so be careful. The first is great! It was a little overcrowded which made it difficult to attempt a swim. Beautiful scenery however.
      Excellent excursion

Alex was very friendly, personable and helpful. Traveling solo I felt very looked after and safe. It was an excellent hike and well worth the money.
      Nice but unnecessary
      Aaron_A, Mar 2024
Our guides were very excellent and nice. However this experience did not provide much considering that you can just go to this short hike yourself. Much of it is near an active construction site. It ran longer than it was supposed to which also made us late.

Our tour guides were amazing but especially Erik, who helped me cliff jump into the water where my Apple Watch fell off. Erik had found it in the sand and saved the day! Rough terrain so make sure you have grippy shoes. 10/10 experience and would do again. Everyone in the group was amazing.
      great hike!

We had a great hike to the waterfall. Diego was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable. would recommend this tour to anyone.
      Fun but very dangerous
      John_P, Mar 2024
Listen the tour was great. HOWEVER. even if you choose not to climb the rock wall at the first waterfall. You still end up climbing a mountain up about 700 feet. There should be a high risk for death warning when booking as 3 of us almost fell off the cliff and only had a rope to save our lives. With that being said it was worth the thrill and we felt accomplished after the challenge, but it was WILD
      Beautiful but tough

Must take taxi to and from location. We were confused when we got to the address of meeting point as it was another company, the meeting point is actually next to oxxo.. not 363 C. The guy at 363 C was not happy that his address is being used which is understandable. We had to take city bus that made several stops to the jungle entrance. Once there we started hike and it was for sure a hike, lots of tough areas to get through but we made it to waterfall and spent time there.. then hike back same way we went in. Note.. no restrooms available

Hello Shelly, glad you had a good hike. The meet up adress is the whole block and not just the shop of the other company. In the instruction we put the exact meeting point information to avoid confusion their. Regards!

My friends and I had a great time on the jungle hike. Our guide, Alex, was super personable and friendly, and provided an excellent experience.
Had fun but not what I expected
      nancy_h, Feb 2024
The guide was good but the hike was disappointing. The trail is walking up a rocky stream with fences and construction on both sides. There are also rubber hoses running throughout to bring water to the hotels down stream. The waterfall isn't really natural but a man made spill-way which was a disappointment. I did some some nice scenery and we were able to walk up to a nice look out.
      Response from Host, Feb 2024
Hello Nancy. Glad you liked the lookout and the scenery. People in Vallarta rely on the rivers for water supply. That why you could see some of the tubes. Thanks for joining our hike.
      Worth It

Alex was a great guide! He kept us upbeat and feeling safe throughout the hike. The hike to the waterfall was easy and fun. We loved swimming in the water and seeing the views. Know that after you reach the waterfall, the difficult part of the hike comes next. Again, we felt fully safe with our guide and had a great time!

Hi Ellie, Thank you so much for this beautiful review! Really appreciate it. So glad you liked the hike. Kind regards!
      Great fun!

      - Great guide - Lagoon / waterfall treat is well worth the hike. The hike has rocks and some balancing required - not anything too treacherous, and while the guide is always there to lend a hand, I would not recommend to someone with recurring injuries or frail or elderly.

Fun adventure to get away from the beach for a bit!
      EDEN_Y, Feb 2024
The second waterfall after the crazy rock/mountain climb was amazing. Very scary but worth the thrill. Wear comfortable clothes, something to swim in if you'd like, and shoes that you don't mind getting a little wet if you stumble into the river. I wore tennis shoes and was fine. Pick up and drop off was easy. We didn't wait long at all. Takes about 15 minutes to get to the starting point from pick up spot. It was definitely worth the price and would recommend trying it out for an adventure if you'd like to get away from the beach for a couple hours! Emilian was great and very patient with us. He helped my dad and I conquer the climb while the others watched from below!
      Response from Host, Feb 2024
So glad you guys had an unique experience with emilian and that he took you guys a bit further on rhe beaten path to the second waterfall. Kind regards!
      Worthwhile
      Steven_L, Jan 2024
The guides were very good it is a nice hike, you can swim a few times and there is a little (manmade) cave at the end that you can go in behind a waterfall
      refreshing swim after river walk
      Catherine_B, Jan 2024
Loved the waterfall and swim experience - clear cool fresh deep water Good value The tour guide was helpful in showing us where to walk and guiding us over some of the larger rocks The tour was not exactly as advertised - no fruit was provided, no wildlife pointed out. Additionally there should have been more instructions beforehand: what to wear - water shoes, a bathing suit, bring water. This part needs some improvement. But overall would recommend this outing as it is easy to access, simple, a nice chance to meet people, see a different side of the area and it is affordable and not overly long.
