Important Note: All of Sun Buggy's vehicles are manual transmission. In order to drive them you must be able to use a stick shift. If you are unable to drive stick shift please contact us and we can have one of our guides drive the vehicle for you.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

Great day trip to experience the botanical gardens, tequila tasting and some snorkeling. The buggies are cute and fun and they take the group riding along the coast with great views of the mountains and the ocean.

Awesome sun buggy tour!

Our driver, Chris, was amazing. Him and his wife welcomed us upon arrival with water and quickly allowed us to pick the car we wanted to ride in. The drive was beautiful and extremely safe. The car was so cute and was a lot of fun to ride in. The stops along the way were excellent. We really enjoyed the botanical gardens. We had a great time at the distillery. The lunch on the beach was delicious. And the guys that took us in the boat were so kind.

My husband and I thought this was the best way to see a lot of PV in a short amount of time. Don’t think twice about booking this. I wore a ball cap to shield the sun but I loved the open air roof and views! We overpacked (as we normally do). Don’t wear your swimsuit as we didn’t even get in the water and stayed in the boat. Wear comfortable shoes for walking the gardens. We really enjoyed the tequila tour but if you plan to buy any, you’ll have to check that bag on the way home. Lunch was good only because of the beachside location and good company. I think the cold beer was the best part.

The buggies were so much fun. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Very patient with me as I have mobility issues. There is hiking to the botanical gardens and to the beach for lunch so be prepared to do some hiking. I wish I had known about how much walking was involved before I booked but I did have fun.

We had a great day! Driving the little buggies is so much fun! The botanical gardens is always a fun stop (bring bug spray!), the tequila factory was fabulous, and lunch on the beach was a very relaxing and it was a beautiful beach to visit. I would highly recommend this activity as long as someone in your group can drive a car with a manual transmission. The company was great. All of the employees are very engaging and fun.

The tour was amazing. The guides were funny, took pictures of all groups, were really helpful, and really enhanced the whole experience. You drive quite a bit between experiences, and it’s a fun way to see the area. You get to go outside of the city and into more rural areas. It’s a good time and a great way to get outside the usual touristy activities.

We had a great experience with Sun Buggy Tours! Knowledgeable, charismatic personnel made for a great experience. From driving through the cobblestone streets of Puerto Vallarta to tasting tequila at a distillery off the beaten path, this excursion is one to recommend. We have been to Mexico a number of times and there is always an undertow of “over-touristified” experiences in places like Puerto Vallarta and Playa Del Carmen, but Sun Buggy Tours was quite the contrary. If you’re looking for a day of driving your own buggy, snorkeling, eating, and taking in Puerto Vallarta, this is your place.

The whole day with the crew from SunBuggy was fabulous! From the start, our check-in was easy and simple. We chose our buggy, drove through the city and mountains to a spot to shop and view the arches. Then on to the botanical gardens, tequila tasting and lunch on the beach. I can only give the highest of compliments to the crew leader, his assistant, the photographer and everyone at SunBuggy who made our day a wonderful memory. Thank you!

The wonderful staff were amazing! Even though I had some mobility issues, they were patient and helped as much as possible no matter. They were fun and kept us entertained and very happy! We saw some amazing views and things on our excursion as well as are a yummy lunch and tasted some fabulous tequila!

This is a must when visiting! The staff here were so accommodating and went above and beyond! I was as having a little problem walking and they made the extra effort to drive me closer to where we were going!!! The boat ride was awesome! Every stop the people were fun and really wanted to make our experience top notch! The only thing is vehicles are manual trans missions so please make sure your driver can drive the vehicle. We got to see so much of the land. Can’t say enough on how much we enjoyed this. We had 4 in our group and decided to get 2vehicles which I think was the best! Great value for what we experienced!
