What To Expect

At Boogies Punta Cana, receive a safety briefing and instruction on operating the dune buggies—choose to ride on your own or to share with another person, taking turns driving. Then board your off-road buggy and follow your guide caravan style through the jungle to an organic farm. You’ll learn about coffee, chocolate, and rum production, with the opportunity to sample some products.
The adventure continues on to a natural cave with a freshwater spring. The last stop will be at Macao Beach, where you can relax on the sand and play in the water. The tour ends with hotel drop-off in Punta Cana.

This excursion was AMAZING! Charlie was our tour guide and he was great. You really get the full Dominican experience from riding the terrain, to jumping into the cave with fresh refreshing water, and learning about how they make Dominican cigars, chocolate, and rum. We also got to spend some time on the beach! I’m so thankful for Charlie and all the staff on this trip! 100/100 I would recommend for anyone planning a trip to the DR.

Vacation with my sister and 73 year old mom. Mom road in the back, got way less muddy and had a blast lol. Very professional company. Highly recommend.

First experience on a buggy tour and this one was great! Though we got extremely muddy in the buggy we still had fun and enjoyed the tour. The tour included lots of riding time which we enjoyed and we were able to see the jungle, water cave, the beach, and also a few stops to purchase items from the local villages.

This was just ok. It's dirt roading in buggies that are poorly maintained (ours did not turn left). The whole experience is rushed. No time (15 min) to swim & enjoy water cave because it's very crowded and busy. Macao beach is nice, but you can get there by car and honestly the beach near your resort is likely as nicer. Also, people ran out to get money from us and we were told not to give them money by the operators. Honestly, the appeared in need.. It's much prettier & more enjoyable. The Coffee, Cacao experience is nothing. Wikipedia could give you more. You get what you pay for.
If you want a grear buggie experience, go with the Monkeyland package

This excursion was really fun! My 3 kids really enjoyed it. Luis our tour guide made it so special for the kids. There was a guide in front and another buggy and atv behind us blocking traffic at intersections. Riding through the city was really cool. We brought candy for the city kids but had to be really quick handing it to them. The goggles we brought got so muddy it was hard to see and the masks filled with mud and I had to remove it. But it was still a fun and memorable experience.

My first comment that I want to make everyone aware of…if you pick the dune buggy you will without a doubt be covered in mud if it has rained recently. I did not see this within the reviews and my husband and I were absolutely covered in mud. I do wish that the company made that more clear when picking between the ATVs and the dune buggies. Getting muddy is certainly part of the experience but I probably would’ve picked the ATV if I knew that.
Overall, this experience was okay. Kitson was our guide and while he was very friendly and did a good job overall, the organization of this company is a bit of a mess. You kind of feel like you could get scammed at any moment. The cave they take you to is small and you’re there for only a few minutes. There are people trying to sell you stuff right and left at every point of this tour. I only had 5 days in Dominican Republic and I probably won’t do a tour like this again.

This excursion was great! You get very muddy but it’s worth it. The guides did a great job showing us around & keeping us safe. Bring or buy a bandana, there is lots of dust. Highly recommended!
