If you'd like to explore the underwater world but can't or won't learn to Scuba dive, this Scuba Doo underwater scooter adventure is ideal for you. Your helmet creates a bubble around your head so you can breathe without a mouthpiece. It's a comfortable way to explore the reef and get up close to tropical fish and other sea life.

What To Expect

Discover the underwater world, without having to scuba dive, on a half-day Scuba Doo underwater tour with a small group of just 15 people. With a helmet that encloses around your head, a Scuba Doo underwater scooter is a comfortable way to explore underwater.

Your day starts with pickup from your Punta Cana hotel, with stops to pick up other guests. You’ll board a small boat to reach the dedicated platform for snorkeling and Scuba Doo. Take turns riding the Scuba Doo underwater scooter for around 15 minutes, with a diver guide with you the entire time for comfort and to take photos (additional cost).

While you are waiting, you can snorkel with the provided snorkeling gear and life jacket, in the company of a lifeguard guide. Afterwards, if time and conditions permit, enjoy a ride on a glass-bottom boat to look for more marine life.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Puke beach

Nope nope and nope. Trash and puke filled beach. No organization or direction. Shuttle service sketchy. Didn’t feel safe. Very poorly run. If you have trouble with balance do not go. You have to transfer boats 5 times. From beach to shuttle boat to jelly bean glass bottom boat to the platform back to a transfer boat and from a boat back to the beach. Says half day tour, it is not. We were gone 3 hours that is counting the 30 minute commute from the hotel each way.

So much fun and so worth it!

Such a fun experience! Here’s how it goes. They pick you up from your resort, and stop to pick up others on the way to the beach. After the drive you get on a boat, with a waist life floatie, then head to the scuba location in the ocean. While others are doing their scuba turn you will snorkel. The scuba part is so much fun and a crew member is with you the entire time taking pictures. After everyone is done you go back on the boat and head to the shore where you pay for, or decline, pictures (it’s by person not per picture). Lastly they drive you back and depending on where you’re staying they may stop at a gift shop along the way. Again, so much fun.

The Scuba Doo has been on my bucket list & I finally got a chance to do it. It was a cool experience. The staff were friendly & professional. The price & timing for the activity was good. I didn’t feel like the trip was rushed. We spent a decent amount of time under water. (10-15 mins) I definitely recommend it.

The snorkels no and the Scuba Doo was so much fun. The boat to the snorkel area was packed like sardines, should think about better equipment. The “glass bottom boat “ was a joke. Very HOT and again, packed. Offering peanuts and a drink was a nice touch.

Someone should have mentioned 2 hr car ride with 11 people packed into van for a 10 min Sco...Dolphin watching was mediocre at best...safety was concern.

Do not request pick up! Got picked up at 12:45 for our 2:30 excursion just to spend 2 hrs in a hot mini van picking up other people. They need more drivers or less people per excursion. Spent 2 hrs to get there, 10 mins in a scooter to take another 2 hrs home. Waste of money and time!

So fun! The water where we were was the most beautiful shade of teal and I couldn’t get enough. Definitely bring something to do with you because the car ride is long when you’re picking up everyone for the excursion, but it was worth it. Once we arrived everything was well organized and smooth. It was a little tricky to get into the boat so be prepared for a bit of a hefty job there but the guides were able to help anyone who needed it. The scoobadoo experience was really cool! They feed some fish so they crowded around us and we got to hold a sea urchin! Then while everyone else was taking their turn on the scoobadoo we could snorkel which was a lot of fun! There was no glass bottom boat ride as advertised but by the time all the scoobadoo and snorkeling was done I was ready to go anyway. All in all, it was very fun and worth it!

My husband and I had so much fun. What a great experience! Our guide was funny and very entertaining. We did feel very safe and we felt that we were in very experienced hands when underwater. Overall excellent way to spend a day! Highly recommend! Helen the bathroom attendant was super helpful! 🤗

The boat ride was pleasant. Got to see some dolphins. My friend enjoyed the scuba Doo experience, got to see fish underwater; but his experience was not 15 minutes as advertised, more like seven or eight minutes. There was not enough instruction concerning the procedures and very little offered in English. Thus, I was not comfortable once the bubble was over my head, and I panicked somewhat, especially when the instructor left my sight, and would be unable to see my hand signals. I did not want to proceed so only got to see a few fish before resurfacing. I think the experience might have been different, if all of the process had been thoroughly discussed with me. Hardly any fish could be seen in the glass bottom boat.

Ok let me give you the full lowdown ! They're going to pickup a few people from other resorts. If you feel like they left you, don't walk away they'll be there shortly. You're going to drive to a beach area. The driver is going to encourage you to not purchase souvenirs from stores on the beach, he will take you to another shopping area afterwards(optional, let them know if you don't want to go). When you get to the beach you'll ride on a small boat (with no lifejackets lol) (don't be frightened you'll be fine) further out in the ocean to another boat. The 2nd boat is where you can go snorkeling and ride scubadoo's. Bring your own snorkeling goggles and tube because the ones they provide you share. The scubadoo's do not operate on their own which is odd. The staff pushes them around the ocean. There's 2 scubadoo's available so only 2 people can go at a time and its like 18 participants. After the scubadoo's they take you on another boat with a glass bottom for more amazing views of the ocean and they also make a stop to view some dolphins. Overall, its a little disorganized, but if you read this you're in the clear and I 100% recommend for the price !

Enjoyed the whole process!! Would suggest getting private transportation tho m our ride was an hour because we were the farthest.

Glass bottom boat was broken yet we paid full price. Whilst we waited for each person to have their turn on the scooter we were not permitted to Snorkel which was a colossal amount of wasted time just sitting around.

Great experience! Bring money for pictures afterwards. Be prepared for a long ride depending on the location of your resort. You will get your hair wet you have to go underwater to get on the scuba-scooter. Cold drinks & chips were provided.

A must do activity when in Punta Cana, even for these which can’t swim (just like my wife). It’s totally safe as you’ll be watch over by a diver. Would recommend to anyone
