    Great experience!

Daniel was wonderful! Went above and beyond as a tour guide. Super knowledgeable and personable. We had a great tour - despite the torrential rain! Note - it is both a historical and a gastronomy tour. I’ve done other food tours and left stuffed! This one is smaller bites. Don’t come starving! The plantain empanadas were amazing!
    Great Tour of Quito

We had a great tour on our first day in Quito. Malena was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable, friendly and funny. Really packed a lot into the tour and the stops were very well thought out. Highly suggest taking this tour!
Go ahead - just do it!

What a great experience with Daniel !!!!. The tour was one of the best we have ever done, with loads of information about sights, some special local foods (don't mis the chocolate), and just general discussion on life in Ecuador. Daniel made us feel very comfortable and at the end of the tour it felt like we had been friends for a long time. We can highly recommend the tour
    Great walking tour

I did a last minute booking and was glad that I did. Ivan did a great job of sharing historical and cultural information throughout our walking tour. There was the perfect amount of tastings throughout the walk.
    Enthusiastic and excellent tour guide

Jared is an amazing young man. From the very beginning of the tour, we knew we were going to get a great experience. He shared interesting information about each site visited and great fun facts about the culture and architecture of Quito. He was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. His English was very good also. We highly recommend this tour.
Best way to spend an afternoon in Quito

We had an amazing afternoon spent with Daniel learning so much about Quito landmarks and food. He was knowledgeable, and funny. The city was bustling and we felt 100% safe. Such a beautiful city with delicious foods. Would 100% recommend this tour to anyone.
    Wonderful tour

Ivan was a terrific guide, friendly and knowledgeable. I loved visiting the chocolate shops, Kitu and Yumbos. Fabulous chocolates and a really interesting learning experience. We also tried some other local specialties, visited a museum and several churches, and got some insight about the city’s history.
    Good time

Kevin was awesome. Very insightful. If you just arrived and are not use to the altitude it is at a pace that helps keep you from feeling tired.
    Great, SAFE, time in Quito

We had a wonderful time with Ivan! He was so knowledgeable and took us to some very neat, off the beaten path shops with a great history. Would absolutely recommend to anyone traveling to Quito!
    Completely Compelling Intro to Quito
    Michelle_P, Feb 2024
Our guide Kevin was a real expert on local culture and history. In fact he covered the history of Spanish invasion of SA and how this influenced the architecture of Quito. The tour of the Yumba chocolate factory was the highlight of the tour and again Kevin fascinated with his explanation of the cocoa trade and varieties of chocolate. Don’t miss this one!
    Unforgettable tour of Quito!

This was an incredible tour and I highly recommend to anyone who is curious and interested in culture, history and food! Ivan is a very knowledgeable and welcoming host and really brought the tour to life with great storytelling. I personally learned so much about Quito's history culture and food. Ivan personally worked in the cacao industry and shared a lot of experiences that were engaging. During the tour, you also stop at multiple restaurants and stores and try different foods such as Canelazo and Pajaro Azul (my personal favorite). The last stop was at Yumbos which is a top cacao producer in Ecuador where you sample some of the finest chocolate in the world.
Excellent tour, highly recommended and a very safe environment to be in

Ivan was so passionate and knowledgeable about his adopted country. We had an amazing experience of wonderful culture and food during this trip. What was particularly special was the explanation of many aspects of the culture that we would not have imagined without the expert guidance of Ivan. The food & drink offerings were also excellent. Would thoroughly recommend this trip. Please don't be put off by the recent issues in Ecuador. It was extremely safe. Thank you Ivan

    Walking/Eating Tour a Must
    Joe_L, Jan 2024
The various foods I tried were all very good---especially the chocolate. The guide, Malena, was very knowledgeable about the city, culture and food.
A must do tour if you’re in Quito!
    Ditte_M, Jan 2024
It was an amazing and must do tour! We loved every second and got so much knowledge and interesting facts about Quito and Ecuador! Ivan, our guide, was fantastic, genuine and had an answer to all our questions! We loved tasting all the different things! Being around a local guide in a foreign city was really special! Thank you so, so much! ❤️
Can't miss tour when in Quito!

Malena was an amazing guide, super knowledgeable about the history of the places visited and the history of Ecuador in general! She made the sights come to life and context with her stories about them. The tour was a holistic impression of the Quito old town, including entering the most important (and all special) churches. We also tasted delicious Ecuadorian empanadas and the amazing chocolate of Ecuador (bought 10 as Christmas gifts for the whole family at home). Highly recommended tour to get a grasp of Quito's old town and history!
    Worth it

Had a great private tour. Daniel was very knowledgeable about Quito and made the tour fun. Being on the rooftop to see the Virgin Mary in the distance was great. I just wish I had remembered more at the time of the quiz! Also, the empanadas and juice were so yummy! Only thing that could’ve made it better was a more food focused tour option (though we did enjoy the candy and chocolate tastings as well).
    Great introduction to...

Great introduction to Quito with lovely Daniel 🙂 Easy meeting location, very friendly & made our brains work with lots of questions & a quiz! A very informative & enjoyable morning for a first day in Quito 😊 Saw & experienced loads - churches, squares, culture, sweets, empanadas & chocolate 😋 Daniel really knows his stuff 😁 - we will always remember to ask for yappa 😁
Need to add more content and food tastings.
    Barbara_J, Nov 2023
Kevin, the guide, was very nice and informative. There just wasn’t much to the tour- a few free samples of chocolates and candies, a visit to the outside of a church, looking at some monuments , a free one man art gallery, a small shop to buy juice and an empanada, and a chocolate tasting where the idea was for you to buy chocolate.
