    Beautiful experience during this activity. From pickup to getting to the horse ranch. Very friendly, welcoming and helpful family members. I was fitted for my helmet and you could borrow gloves, hard or clothing gear to wear to keep warm. I was matched with a soft, warm, gentle horse since I was inexperienced. The horses were beautiful. The scenery was beautiful and majestic during the ride. This was my 2nd time during horseback riding while on vacation the guides were helpful, attentive and knowledgeable. I had an amazing experience.

    Beautiful experience with Laxnes

    I absolutely loved my horseback riding experience with Laxnes. They helped me find the correct sized helmet, as well as made sure I was warm by picking out a jumpsuit and an extra sweater for me to wear. I could feel that the family cares for their visitors and wants to make sure we are comfortable with our horses and are going to have a positive experience. Even though we had a small group, we had two guides who routinely checked on us. At the end of our ride we were treated to cake and a hot beverage. The horses were all beautiful, happy, and well taken care of. I just can’t compliment the family enough, they were all absolutely delightful and kind.

    Brilliant day, the horses are in great condition & obviously well cared for, the trek we went on was so picturesque & beautiful, we went through a stream into stunning countryside, the staff at the farm were really friendly, all in all a lovely memory, highly recommended! Thank you 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

    We went horseback riding on April 3, 2024. It was such a wonderful experience from start to finish. The horses were so sweet and are obviously very well loved and cared for by the family. They provide warm insulated coveralls, buffs, gloves/mittens and riding helmets. They can accommodate any level of riding skill and will match you with the perfect horse. The meandering ride through the countryside and crossing over the icy mountain rivers was really lovely. The included pick up and drop off at our hotel was prompt. The hot chocolate and pastry that they offered after the ride was a very generous and much appreciated touch. If you dream of going horseback riding in Iceland then this is the tour to book!

    Had a very good day out for ride. Booked last minute due to whale watching being cancelled. Very handy that they pick you up. The ride was a decent one along a trail, over a stream and then back again. To a warm drink and something to eat, as it was a bitterly cold day. Would recommend this stable as they care for all their horses.

    I had a fabulous time! It was a sunny -6 degrees C, but the winter jackets, padded overalls and thick woollen gloves that were supplied certainly made a big difference! The horses are obviously loved and well cared for, and the scenery we rode through was breathtaking! I just wish we could have stopped for a few quick photos along the way. The hot chocolate and pastries after the ride were very welcome and much appreciated!

    Pickup from Reykjavik was on time and smooth. They provide overall, helmet. There are gloves to borrow as well. I do horseback riding tours wherever I go for vacation. And this experience (horses and scenary) were truy unique. I loved the scenery on the trail. (Snowy mountains, little streams of water, etc) My horse, I think her name is Lax... (sorry I forgot exact name), was great as well. She slightely trotted (without asking me lol) several times which was what I wanted to experience (more). After a short break (horses eating from grass field), I had trouble getting back on the horse. While the human help was on the way, my horse moved backwards, and I wondered why at first, but she stopped where there is a bump on the ground! So that I could be at higher starting point! (I'm short) I believe my horse knew and tried to help me. Anyways, I had a great time. I just wished there was a little more trotting experience. But hey, icelandic horses are very unique experience that's worth having! They are friendly and nice, so as guides and the family owners of the place! Thank you!

    The whole trip was lovely from start to finish. They match you up with an appropriate horse to your experience and let you lead your horse out into the yard. After an hour we stopped and dismounted for the horses to have a break and a nibble of the grass. On returning to the farm there was hot coffee and cakes waiting for us. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. The Icelandic horses are just so gentle and nice and smooth to ride. This was our favourite day of our holiday. Thank you Laxnes farm for the lovely ride in the snow.

    I haven't ridden a horse since I was a teenager but I felt extremely comfortable while riding one with the Laxnes team. Their passion and care to their animals is evident. The riding path provides a breathtaking view of the beautiful landscape. 10/10!
