      VERY IMPORTANT PICK UP & DROP OFF INFORMATION : We offer pick up and drop off within the city of Reykjavik. We can pick-up directly from some hotels as well as from the Reykjavik cruise ship terminals but parts of the Reykjavik city center are restricted for bus driving. This means that tour companies can only stop at certain designated BUS STOP locations in the center of Reykjavík to pick up the guests from hotels or other accommodations located within this area. If your accommodation does not have direct pick-up due to being located within the restricted area, then you can use the map here down below for the walking route from your accommodation to the nearest bus stop. Please note that we offer pick up only from Reykjavík city center. If you are staying outside of the city than we can pick you up from BSÍ Bus Terminal.

      March 24 was an excelent night for auroras: solar storm and clear skys. The guide looked for the best place. The suits, the chairs and the snacks made the difference. Highly recomendable. A good camera is necesary to see bright green and purple that the eye cannot perceive.

      Heimir was an amazing guide who went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a special trip. The conditions were great and I got to see the northern lights on my first night in Iceland, an experience I’ll never forget. He set up chairs, had iPhone stands, snacks and hot chocolate for us to enjoy as well. You could freely take breaks to warm up in the van. It was 11/10 experience I would definitely go again.       I cannot find enough superlatives to express the outstanding experience we had with our guide and photographer, Heimir. His genuine care and dedication were evident throughout our experience. The photos we received were nothing short of EPIC, capturing the essence of our Northern Lights adventure in a way we could never have imagined.       Don’t book with one vehicle operators

      We booked this for the first night of our stay as we wanted to give ourselves the best opportunity to see the northern lights - which was just as well. The tour was cancelled due to poor weather reducing the opportunity to see the northern lights so we were given the opportunity to rebook for another night. The rebooked tour was then cancelled the following night due to mechanical issues with their only vehicle and a refund was given without the option to rebook. As this tour had included a camera tripod I hadn’t brought my own for the long exposure photography so obviously I didn’t have one when we had to book an alternate tour with another operator. Following this experience I have three tips: 1 - book your northern lights tour early in your trip to allow for rebooking (if required). 2 - be a “boy scout” and always come prepared with your own equipment. 3 - don’t book tours with one vehicle operators

      Fantastic trip, very knowledgeable, cheerful and engaging guide. Hot drinks and snacks a bonus. One tip: it was freezing, even wearing jumpsuit which was provided, wear as many cothes as you can!
      Can’t predict the weather but can control communication

      We were here for a week and it was canceled 3 times so that was disappointing. I know it takes awhile to see if the weather will cooperate but the communication from the company was few and far between and it made it hard to do other things and not know if we made it on their bus for the next day since it mentioned they are a small company with one bus.

      What matters most is maximizing your opportunity to see the Northern Lights. Unfortunately, the lights weren’t out on our tour night, and the tour operator was unresponsive to multiple requests to reschedule over the next 5 days. Our guide took photos of us during our outing, but we weren't given copies, so no memories whatsover from that night. Find a tour operator who will give you a retry if you don’t see the lights. Don't be fooled by cookies and cocoa; it's not worth paying extra if you don't get to retry if the lights don't show. And FYI, rescheduling is pretty standard for most Northern Lights tours in Reykjavik.

      Never use this tour. I chose this tour because it said 93% sighting rate and travel choice winner. I don't know if it is true, but I experienced the worst communication with the tour company. I had to change my pick up location and wanted to make sure if they have my change. They never received a phone call and ask to send an email. Their email response is slower than a snail. After my 1st, I couldn't get a view and ask the retry. They reply me the email very late and even didn't show up. When I call the agent who in charge of picking up. He said he will rearrange another bus, but didn't call me back and didn't even get an answer. I need to get a refund, but not sure if there is way to do.

      What a joke. They advertise a premium tour - wifi on board, warm jump suits, chairs - non of which were provided. It was just a guy in a truck driving way too much with the heat on high. 5 hours of aweful. Did not see the northern lights. Eye doubtful the 97 percent sighting is true. Amateur hour at a premium price. Definitely go on a northern lights tour. Just don’t fall for this ‘premium’ tour because you do not get what they advertise. Waste of a night for our family.

      It was like an adventure driving from one place to another looking for the best spot since the weather wasn’t helping. But our guide was determined to find the lights and he did it. Very happy with the results.

      The trip organisers did not honour the pick up and drop off venue that we booked and were rude and aggressive when we said we were disappointed. Despite our agreement to get to their suggested meeting point the organiser kicked us off the tour at the last minute and refused to give us a refund. We were devastated by this completely unprovoked action and would urge anyone to avoid using this company.

      Weather conditions were not ideal to see the lights when we went out, but our guide Sultan was great! He was very diligent and committed to trying to find them. We tried several locations and in the end did see the lights! I just wish the company was more responsive to my inquiries about accessing the pictures taken with the lights. I still don’t have them more than four days after the tour on November 30. If they are reading this, it would be great if they could respond to my inquiries.

      We were in Iceland for four nights and every night our northern lights operator canceled the tour because of weather conditions. One time, they canceled within an hour of go time all while assuring us this was to ensure a good experience, which they did not feel we could have given the weather conditions. So. Why am I giving this five stars? Because other hotel guests using other northern lights tour operators were taken out at least two of the four nights and said they drove around for hours but did not see anything. Since they were taken on the tour, they could not get a refund although they could keep going out every night until they saw the lights. Problem is, you eventually do have to leave Iceland and if you haven’t seen the lights before leaving, then you only have the option to try again if/when you return to Iceland – unlikely. Meanwhile, we were able to do other neat things with our evenings instead of aimlessly driving around AND we were able to get a full refund since we never went on a tour. I really appreciated that our tour operators leaned on their experience and good judgment, and saved us a buck! Thank you Heimer for your great customer service. This is our second time in Iceland this year. We love visiting and will undoubtedly be here again soon. We will be sure to use your company next time!

      Repeatedly cancelled all the way through our holiday, kept saying the next day we should be able to go as met office looks better. Facts of the matter every other company was going, don't waste your money on paying for a premium company as they will only take you if they don't see 1 cloud in the sky! 93 percent pass rate is because they never take anyone. We went with another company paid less than half the price on a day this company claimed we wouldn't see them and have so many beautiful pictures of the northern lights!

      The tour was overall good, even though the price was a bit steep for a northern lights tour, a few things make up for it. Like the complementary Icelandic chocolates, treats, vodka and hot chocolate, the professional photographs from a proper photography camera, rebooking of the tour if the lights don’t show, folded seats to sit back and enjoy the view and jumpsuits to keep you warm if you came unprepared. The tour guide, Sultan was very informative, knew how to take good photos and knew some good spots. Pick up was pretty good, there was a bit of a delay due to custom pick ups but nonetheless pick up went smoothly.
