As buses are not allowed to drive in certain areas of Reykjavik centre, your pick up may be from the nearest Tour Bus Stops. Your Hotel reception will help you find it. After receiving your pickup information, the local partner will notify you of your pick up time and location 6 to 24 hours before the departure time by email. * If you don’t add a pickup location Meet us at Tour Bus stop #1 City Hall * If you can´t find your address on the list, you can add it manually, and after we receive your pickup information, we will notify you of your pick up time and location 6 to 24 hours before the departure time.   • Seeing the Northern Lights is not guaranteed even though the tour is operated. The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon and as part of nature, unpredictable. We cannot guarantee how much you will see on the night you go.

  • We send reconfirmation email about pick up time and location 6 to 24 hours before the tour begins. Please kindly check your email when you are in Iceland

  • Rebooking northern Lights tour due to bad weather cancellation to the 24-25-26-31 of December and first of January for additional cost difference due to Holidays prices
  • If we cancel your Northern Lights tour due to weather conditions or any other circumstances beyond our control you will always receive a full refund, this does not apply to customers that have joined the Northern lights tour before and we do not offer refunds, whether partial or full, for tours where a Northern Lights sighting was not possible after first trial or any trial.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

  • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Very lucky to have viewed the Northern lights in extremely unfavourable circumstances- snow storms and clouds . It was only possible because we had a very experienced driver and guide - Magnus(Magi) he made our trip incredible ! We had 3 different sightings through the cloud gaps !

Great tour! Beautiful northern lights!

We had a great time with our tour guide Maggi! The bus was comfortable and we made it out of the city quickly. He brought us to a few spots searching for the elusive Aurora borealis. We eventually made it to a secluded spot and got a great show of lights. Excellent all around.

The company missed the mark - overly commercialized

One of the most unorganized tours we've ever been on. The guide never provided any information or even spoke to us until 40 minutes into the trip. Each of our stops were literally on the side of a highway. You can't see the Northern Lights with bright car headlights driving by every minute. This was also an incredibly commercialized and sales-y tour. The guide spent at least 2 hours taking terrible photos, discussing the additional pricing and cost of said photos, and then collecting payment from everyone individually. I'm not sure what we paid $100+ for if even a digital photo from an amateur was not included. Although we did see the Northern Lights, every other aspect of this tour was a bust and we would not recommend it.

In situations where heavy snowfall restricts our access to our usual locations, we are sometimes forced to park alongside the road and no one can control this. The claim about amateur photographers and a payment of over $100+ seems to suggest a misunderstanding, as it doesn't align with our tour offerings. Nonetheless, we hope you'll consider the entirety of your experience rather than focusing solely on the negative aspects. While it's impossible to satisfy everyone, we strive to provide memorable experiences for our guests. The tour should never go ahead. Visibility was so poor we just drove around for hours with a guide who didn't interact with anyone. Just for him to let us know that we are back in reykjavik shortly after midnight. I do not blame the tour guide by the company who is just a big money making scam machine. You put lovely Icelandic people to shame. The charge for the tour is extortionate. The tour guide didn't really speak so you basically pay for van's petrol. Shocking. Please don't book.

We had Maggi as our guide and he was persistent that we would see the northern lights despite the low activity. And we did! It was breathtaking and we are thankful that he was persistent. My only comment is that he made fun of our native language. I dont think he meant it in a derogatory way but still left a bad taste. Otherwise, he was a great guide and he guarantees that everyone will enjoy what they came there for.

Hunting for Northern lights

Unfortunately we didn't get to see much of the Northern lights, however our guide really tried his best to track them down. The guide arrived early to pick us up and he was full of knowledge. Would definitely use this tour company again in the future.

Maggi, our tour guide worked very hard to find the lights for us. He took the time to instruct us on how to set our cameras to get the best pictures in case they came out. Unfortunately the weather was not favorable, lots of cloud cover and the wind was brutal. It was almost midnight before he found a spot with clear skies, but no aurora. It was not the guide’s fault, but I’m not happy with the company for sending the tour out when the weather conditions were so poor. It was 1:30 when we got back to the hotel, totally exhausted.

Excellent communication, our guide rang whilst we were going through security at the airport to suggest moving our booking to the night we were arriving due to cloud cover the rest of our stay - this was an excellent move. He also rang when we were in Iceland to confirm pickup place (bus stop 1), We saw the aurora whilst we were waiting which was amazing too! It was a long evening, but saw the best lights at 1am!! Was a lovely experience and enjoyed talking to others on our tour as-well-as our guide. We also purchased a photo from our guide, expertly taken!

Maggie was exceptional! We booked with another tour the night before and had no luck, we booked the second night with Maggie and on our first stop we saw the lights, we were in awe. We thought we wouldn’t get any luck, but we did! All thanks to Maggie he went out of his way and stopped again at another location and seen more lights that lit up the sky. He took pictures of me and my husband and they came out incredible! He definitely made our whole trip. He found out it was our last night there and he did everything to make it worth while. I can’t thank him enough and would recommend everyone to book on this tour. Other companies we have used didn’t make the effort Maggie did. He was informative and guided us through everything! The tour driver was very nice and knowledgeable, however he showed us an app on his phone and based on that he promised we would see the lights. I understand that it is not a guaranteed thing but he promised and it got our hopes up only for us to never see it. We really liked the driver and he was also upset we didn’t get to see the lights.

We were fortunate to have a clear night and see the northern lights. I was thankful that our guide had his own equipment and was able to take an incredible picture of my son and me. He charged a nominal fee for it but it was worth it!
