There is also a bathroom after you enter the Colosseum, good idea to stop there first (the line was long but it moved fast), especially if touring with kids.
Plus, just to skip the lines and not have to wait was worth the price.
Highly recommend with kids , it was the only tour we took that they talked about afterwards!

Claudia was amazing, so great with our kids and a nice low stress tour for young ones. The gladiator training she did with our kids was so fun!
Best guide ever

Marco, our guide, was amazing. My son said he would give him 10 stars if it was possible. Great with kids. In fact people would lean in to hear what he was saying because he was so engaging. One couple stopped Marco to ask if he had any other tours available because they loved his style so much. 🤣
Engaging for Tweens

Highly recommend the private tour versus large groups. Our boys (13/11) got to ask all their questions and were able to share their knowledge from the studying before the trip. The guide brought books and pictures, which were so helpful and engaging. Would like a longer time during the Forum portion, but that did not deter from the experience. Our guide, Donato, did a fantastic job with our boys!
excellent trip for children and adults alike

Rosella was a fabulously informative tour guide and was especially adept at engaging our two boys—ages 9 and 4.
Incredible tour for families and kids of all ages

Our tour guide was amazing! I would 100 percent recommend this tour for families with children older and younger. Ours were 13 and 17 and he kept their attention with a small games to help us understand and made this experience amazing for us all! He was extremely charismatic and so nice to us all. He engaged the kids and knew all their names. Perfect tour and kept us all interested! Would recommend to anyone!
Geared towards kids 5-10

We chose to do a kid friendly tour in hopes of getting the kids (ages 6, 13, and 15) more engaged with the history of the Coliseum. Our guide was Julia, and she was very kind and friendly. She brought photos and a book to engage the kids, and gave them little quizzes throughout. I have no complaints, just an observance that this specific tour felt more geared towards the younger kids, so our teens were a little bored. Overall we had fun and enjoyed getting through the line quickly and seeing all that the Coliseum and the Forum had to offer.

Great experience & Martina was a wonderful tour guide! She spent time answering questions and engaging in the full group of 3 families with very different aged kids.

Excellent guide, wonderful experience, offers great value. Highly recommended for families with children aged 5-12. Not particularly suitable for those younger than 5.
Fantastico experience for kids and adults
Jodie_D, Sep 2023
Martina was amazing with the kids, so friendly and warm! A great interactive tour with images of what the areas would have looked like in Roman times. Plenty of time for questions, if the kids had any, we didn’t feel as though this was rushed at all. Even though the tour is 2 hours you can go off an explore further in the grounds.
I would highly recommend this tour! It gets a grande 5 stars from us!

Viator never contacted the tour company about the kid friendly tour of the Colosseum when my flight was rescheduled- even after sending me confirmation of change. We were not allowed into the Colosseum, ruined our family trip to Rome!
Best tour guide

We took this tour on Tuesday 22nd August in the heat and it worked out perfectly for our family of 4 kids, from ages 14 down to 2. Our tour guide Julia knew exactly where to take the group and how to interact with the 10 kids in our group. Would recommend for families.
Well worth it!

This tour was wonderfully suited to children. Considering the searing heat and constant need for water and shade both of our children were engaged and well entertained throughout. I cannot thank our guide Valeria enough for making the experience so thoroughly enjoyable.

Claudia interacted really well with the kids, engaging them from the start in a very, very hot colossium. The kids loved re-enacting the gladiators fighting and the little gift at the end was the cherry on the cake! Thank you
Great for kids
Kim_C, Aug 2023
Great tour. Guide was brilliant and catered really well for the children (7&9) and gave them some context as to what they were seeing
