If you arrive late for the meeting time, it will not be possible to join the group or reschedule, unless you pay for the activity again. As per "No Show" rules you will not be entitled to a refund.
Please be advised capacity regulations and security may delay the tour departure. This could also influence the smooth running of the tour especially on national holidays and events.
All visitors must pass through the monument/attraction security check please allow at least 20 minutes to clear security

Due to uneven surfaces, this tour is not recommended for those with walking disabilities or using a wheelchair.

Zero Customer Service

Strict and unaccommodating; zero customer service. Followed meeting time on voucher but was reminded that I had received a text weeks prior stating I needed to be there 30 min earlier. By then I had forgotten this. My fault. New city, first time in Europe traveling alone; it was overwhelming and meeting point was not straightforward. In a nutshell, a lot of other tours will adjust, put you with another group, provide partial refund, or reschedule. They just said no and sent me on my way. At least I got the ticket and experienced the Colosseum myself.

Palatine Hill + Colosseum Underground!

What a great day! We felt like we got to see many of the sights of Palatine Hill on our tour and then zoomed into the Colosseum underground area with minimal waiting. Because the Colosseum was our second stop, we got to stay as long as we wanted inside and did not feel rushed to move on to the next place afterward. Loved our knowledgable guide! Highly recommend for your first visit to Rome.

The crowds were so bad (NOT the fault of the tour guide, of course!) that we couldn’t always take the time to stop for pictures. Sometimes tough to keep up with the guide as we pushed through crowds of people. The earplugs were very large and we had to hold them up to our ears as they wouldn’t stay in. The guide was wonderful, however, a very thick accent prevented us from understanding everything. NOTHING was the fault of the guide, as she did try to make the time enjoyable and educational.

This tour was interesting, illuminating and entertaining. Our guide was superb and kept our group entertained and informed. There were about 12 people on most of the tour (but see later). This was our first visit to the Colosseum and the level of information was perfect to let us know about its long history. There were no queues or delays in entering the Colosseum; our guide made the entry straightforward and easy. The Colosseum was busy, but at no point did we feel overwhelmed by the number of people. When it came to the underground tour, we joined another group which meant that there were too many people to really see what the Colosseum-provided guide was talking about. It was a shame they would not let the tour-provided guide accompany us, because I am sure she would have been more entertaining and informative. This is the only downside of the tour and the only reason I haven't given it five stars. After the underground tour was finished, we met up with the original guide who once again provided entertaining explanations of the Colosseum. We were taken to the Roman Forum and once again there was no queuing. We were given an interesting overview of the Forum and suggestions of buildings and places to view. We were then left to explore on our own for the rest of the day. I saw some reviews that said it was hard to find the starting location, but there is a little shop where you check in and it was on the street level. We didn't have any trouble finding it. Make sure you get there early to ensure there is enough time to check in and for the tour to start on time. There is a lot of walking and quite a few steep steps. There are lifts in places so make sure to use them when the guide offers. Overall this was an excellent tour with a great guide. If the Colosseum would allow the same guide to take us in the underground areas, it would be a perfect tour.

This experience is a MUST. We did this on a 12 day cruise on one of our two days in Rome before going elsewhere and it was hands down the highlight of our trip. Our guide Gigi really made this tour as special as it was with his storytelling and his clearly evident passion about the history of the Colosseum. I wish we could have had Gigi be our tour guide for everything we saw on our whole trip. The underground was so much cooler than we were even expecting and this tour gets you down below when most people visiting on any given day will no get to have that same experience. We absolutely loved it.

While the tour covered the highlights, the guide rushed as though. The guide was late in arriving and as a result we had no time to really take pictures. We were rushed thought and constantly told to keep walking. As we had a timed entrance to the underground part of the Colosseum his late arrival made the experience less than expected. Considering the cost, the eight of us were disappointed.
