The tour was amazing and our guide Frederica was so knowledgeable that we would like another tour with her to include the second floor of the villa. Two hours is not enough to experience the beauty of this incredible place! The park and villa are such an amazing place to escape the often crowded streets of Rome and chill out at a calmer pace. Incredible!

Frederica was an amazing tour guide for the Borghese Gallery. This was my favorite experience of Rome, partly because of her obvious passion explaining the art. She provided so much backstory to the Borghese family and the creation of the art and how to best experience the art as it was intended.

Rip-off

We were not told in advance that the second floor of the Borghese gallery was closed. Our tour guide was trying so hard to stretch our two hour tour through just the first floor and it became very tedious. I couldn’t wait to get outside and see the beautiful formal gardens….. And they were so disappointing ( nothing like the pictures ). Our $90 tour ended 30 minutes early. Total rip-off.

Incredible museum with an amazing guide that made the are come to life. Loved this tour!!! The art, sculptures and building itself were amazing but the back stories and the history of the artworks made them so much more interesting. Without our guide I would have likely just walked from room to room thinking, yeah, pretty cool, rather than WOW so incredible or How did they do that? So worth it!

Francesca was our tour guide, and was a true expert in her field! This is probably the best tour I have ever taken-which is saying a lot because I am an Art History teacher and well traveled. The tour group was easy to find outside the main entrance. We successfully skipped the line and methodically visited each area if the gallery to maximize our time and avoid the crowds. Francesca gave clear, detailed history on everything. She was passionate about the art and it showed. The masterpieces within the Borghese are amazing, and she brought them to life. This was our favorite tour of Rome.

Our guide was absolutely fantastic. An amazing amount of knowledge and brought the pieces to life. She did a great job of connecting the actual history to the details in the artwork and telling the story that goes with it. I am not an artist and some members of our group are. One of the highlights of our trip! My husband and I are by no means art fanatics, however we were VERY impressed by the Borghese art collection. Our tour guide was phenomenal and knew lots of details about the art shown. Her attention to details about the art enriched our experience making our experience so much more enjoyable.
