A great tour to see and learn about Texas Hill Country

An amazing tour to the Texas Hill Country. Learned ton of history about the area and the state of Texas. Plenty of time to see many points of interest in Fredericksburg during the 2-hour stop. We even managed to visit the Pioneer Museum and Vereins Kitchen. Great country music around the fire pit in Luckenbach. Domingo was a great guide.

A really nice day trip outside of San Antonio

This was a really nice all day tour to spend a day outside of the city. Eric was a very knowledgeable tour guide full of tons of information about the places that we went on this tour as well as information about San Antonio and the Alamo. The LBJ Ranch was really beautiful and interesting. The Town of Fredericksburg was great and I enjoyed the free time to check out the shops and have a great German lunch. Luckenbach was a real gem. Glad we went there to check it out. And the wine tasting was a nice way to end the tour.

We got to see the hill country on o it way to LBJ a and then onto Fredericksburg. The stop at luchenback and a winery was an added surprise . Loretta our tour guide was great

LBJ ranch was great. Loved the Air Force 1/2. And show barn. Boyhood home was good. Would like to have stopped at the graves however.

LBJ State Park Driver (Perry, I think) got political at times degrading LBJ talking about things that had nothing to do with the tour. For example, girlfriends and Vietnam blame. Congress must vote to go to war, not just the President. He also blamed Spur’s players for getting political because they spoke out against social injustices which they have every right to do. He needs to cut that crap out; I was offended and would like an apology from him.

I've been waiting to go to the LBJ Ranch forever! The tour to the Texas Hill country and the LBJ Ranch was in a word AMAZING! Domingo, was an awesome tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and was eager to tell story of the Texas Hill country, and the LBJ Ranch...Domingo was very personable and a asset to your staff!

Texas Hill Country/LBJ Day Trip

Our guide/driver was Loretta & she made this day trip so much fun! Picked up on time at our hotel, provided drinks/snacks on the van, & was very knowledgeable on the history of each stop. We loved LBJ’s childhood home stop! You couldn’t rent a car, buy gas, & hunt for these stops on your own for less than booking here & letting them take care of all the arrangements. Lunch in Fredericksburg was amazing & stopping at Luckenbach on a Saturday & hearing the musicians & shopping ended a perfect day. Would definitely recommend!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We loved this tour. Domingo was our guide and he was great. He was on time for pick up and we were pleasantly surprised that the tour was in a van versus a bus. We were able to meet new people! We never felt rushed at any of the stops. My favorite was Luchenbach, but all of the hill country is beautiful!! We would definitely like to do this again some time.

Our tour guide/driver José Y. was excellent. His commentary was interesting, kept everyone engaged, and was accommodating to our interests. We never felt rushed at any of our stops. I particularly enjoyed the NPS Visitors’ Center at the LBJ Boyhood home displaying a timeline and history of LBJ’s life and accomplishments. Although neither the Home itself or the house at the ranch were not open inside, it’s still well worth visiting.

AMAZING TOUR EXPERIENCE! (All ages loved it!)

Our family of 7 (including 2 children - 6yr & 9yr) had an amazing time on this tour! I was a little hesitant to book such a long trip, but it truly flowed so nicely and the kids were always entertained. Our driver, Victor, was so nice and knowledgeable! He kept everyone engaged and always checked in to make sure we were comfortable. We will definitely be recommending this tour to friends and family!! Thank you so much for an amazing day in Texas Hill Country! We learned a lot and took home so many family memories!

The reservation and pickup at hotel were perfect. Gray line advertising states optional tour of Texas White House was included in the price. Closed due to COVID. Don’t understand why we could not stop and see LBJ cemetery and get out and walk the grounds of Texas White House. Originally told we would be back at 4:30 pm to San Antonio. Dropped off at 3:15 pm. Could have spent the additional time at Fredericksburg after touring museum. Another stop was dropped from tour due to traffic. Solution should have been more time in Fredericksburg.

We make accommodations to pick up all downtown guests, so we are glad that is working properly. While we have had to make adjustments to our itinerary due to covid 19, in the What To Expect section of the tour page we state that as of August 3, 2018, and until further notice, guided tours of the interior of the “Texas Whitehouse” are cancelled per the National Park Service due to needed repairs. Length of the tour varies on number of guests and if those guests want the full amount of time at each of the stops- our Gray Line Tour Guides try and make accommodations.
