What To Expect

Your ghost tour begins at the Menger Hotel, where your tour leader will meet you for a 20-minute tour of this haunted spot to learn about its dark past before boarding the bus. From here, you’ll head to one of the city’s most historic cemeteries, with spooky tales and commentary to entertain you along the way.

Stop for around 30 minutes for a guided cemetery tour, then continue on to the Spanish Governor’s Palace to hear about the ghosts that wander this infamous site. On the return bus ride, pass by San Pedro Creek Culture Park and learn about the city’s historic Red Light District and former jail—now a Holiday Inn Express. Drop-off is just behind the Menger Hotel where the tour kicked off.

I’ve taken many ghost tours in New Orleans, Seattle, Boston, etc., and this one is right up there with the best. The guide was excellent; she had great character and was very funny. She was a fantastic story-teller. Many other little, but important things made this tour great, like the bus was clean and comfortable. It had a screen that she used to show images and videos while we went from one place to another. The guide had a great speaker system so no matter where you were standing in the group (even all the way in the back), you could hear her super clearly. Some of the stories were a little gruesome, but it was a ghost tour so no complaints there. All in all, it was an excellent experience.

Sean was amazing. Very interactive with the group. He was very knowledgeable with history. I loved this whole tour. I can’t believe the 2 1/2 hours went by so quickly the bus driver Robert was amazing as well. They were funny and I recommend this tour to anyone and everyone that comes to San Antonio
