Memelorable day!

Long day- 5:20am pick up and drop off was 8:30pm, but worth it if you are short on time and dont have a car. Arenal is a beautiful area. We saw strawberry frogs, spider monkeys, viper, and much more on the hanging bridges! The waterfall is beautiful especially if you go all the way down, but not enough time to swim, but you get ample time in the hot springs.

Our driver and tour guide, Hiro, was amazing. He was great driving navigating the commutes to the various locations . I only wish we had more time at the hot springs.

Long ride but worth it!

The tour arrived on time and we were the first pickup at 6am Fernando was incredibly sweet and worked well with my daughter (age 10). We were the only English speaking group on the tour so he was more than patient to explain in both English and Spanish The ride from San Jose was 3 hours (there was a bathroom break) I did not expect the included breakfast to be prepackaged sandwiches- but they were decent! It also included fruit and juice boxes The views are breathtaking along the way. There are TONS of stairs to get to the waterfall- to keep in mind if you can not climb 500 stairs down and up. Overall, the trip was long, tiring and WORTH IT.

The sights mentioned on the tour are all great, lunch was at a hotel which had hot springs and it was very tasty, serving 3 courses with coffee and juices included. The only downside to the tour, which dropped the rating from 5 to 4 stars, is that the tour guide arrived almost 40 minutes late (we waited at a hotel for some people for 20 minutes and then an additional 20 minutes for the guide). This meant that we could only spend an hour at the waterfall rather than 2 hours as advertised. The guide was friendly but did not offer much advice on any flora or fauna either on the way to the volcano or in the park. More insight would have been helpful to understand what we are looking at.

Hayro is definitely who to book with if you want a quality experience. Our group of 7 had the best time. He was very informative and helpful. He made it special for the birthday girl at the restaurant. We saw sooo many animals as we ventured to the hanging bridges. He really has a good eye! We definitely will be spending people his way. Magical experience not easily forgotten

I really enjoyed this tour. It was a lot of driving and a lot of hiking in between but well worth it. Our guide Hayro really made this tour. He was really knowledgeable about all kinds of things relating to Costa Rica especially the flora and fauna. He was also very friendly and funny. The drive was entertaining. The hike with the hanging bridges was scary at first but we got the hang of it and the views were breathtaking. We got to observe many different species of animals including two poisonous snakes. There was even a small waterfall at this location as well. The pièce de résistance was the lunch at the Los Lagos Spa and Resort. First let me say that the restaurant was beautiful. The food was even better. The soak in the hot springs was magical. It eased my neck pain from a previous injury and made me feel like new again. The spring with the bar was great. Everyone here was so friendly. It was like a cultural melting pot with people from all over the world coexisting in blissful harmony.

What an amazing day! When we were picked up we were excited to hear that my husband and I were the only ones on this tour. Our guide was awesome! Hayro was so knowledgeable about SO many things. Made the long ride go by so fast. The waterfall was beautiful.. the walk there though is a lot! We were warned but chose to try anyway. The hanging bridges tour was amazing. Our guide was able to hear noises and decipher what was in the area, and then find it! We got to see snakes, cool frogs and birds. Best of all, 2 different kinds of monkeys hanging and swinging from trees. We saw howler monkeys and spider monkeys. Lunch was great and the hot springs were a great way to end the day. It is a long day though! Half of the day will be spent in the car, but again, if you get Hayro, you will learn so much and the drive will fly by!

This was such an awesome experience! Our tour guide, Hayro, was very knowledgeable and went the extra mile to make sure we got the full experience. We saw so many beautiful animals including red frogs! We saw so may animals that we wouldn't have seen if we went on our own. My mom and I had a great time and will definitely be coming back!

Alejandro really made our trip! It was very comforting having a tour guide speak fluently in English! We had a tour guide who cared about making our experience special. We drove past one waterfall, then hiked down the 500 stairs to get to another! He took many pictures of us without getting annoyed with us. We experienced the hanging bridges and Alejandro made it a point to find all the animals we wanted to see along the way! Overall, everything was fabulous. We have no complaints and would fully recommend this tour, especially with Alejandro! The driver drove very safe and made us feel comfortable!

Jayro was our guide. He was knowledgeable and funny! Gave us so much personalized attention and was very kind with our 9 year old daughter. We LOVED this tour! The hanging bridges was the best part. The next day our legs were killing us because of all the stair climbing and hiking , so be prepared! I wouldn’t recommend very little kids for this tour but my 9 year old was a trooper! She enjoyed it so much. Jayro is the man! Thank you for everything!
