What a great way to spend my 1st day in San Jose. The guides were kind, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic! We went out after a long flight and had a great time with tasty food!

I don't recommend it to anyone, unless you want to waste your money and time. The"tour" takes you to places with free admission like: Central market, National Theater( just the lobby) and the art museum. The dinner... Is a " casado"( tipical rice and beans, plantain and a protein ) served in a place with a Chinese menu, it doesn't worth the experience. When you pay almost $80.00 per person to enjoy a tour that satisfy your curiosity for a country you are visiting, you expect at least a better experience. Go and enjoy San Jose by yourself and I assure you that you will have a better experience. Mention apart to the staff, because they do their best, but even that, they do not have the right to have dinner with the group ( they stayed in the bus, while we have the dinner). Unfortunately I wasted my money and time!

Terrible guide

This trip was not worth the money inpaid. The guide was not very informative and more over not very pleasant attitude. Through out the trip she was more telling about her life story and the bad experiences she had to face when she was in US and the sufferings of her people from the colonization. Past is past. Me and my family were very unhappy. The food was also not very good.

A quick overview of a crazy city!

Maria was our guide and she was an absolute delight! We was so enthusiastic about showing off the city she was proud of. She was informative, knew the history of the city and hustled along from place to place. She was very impressive! The not so great parts were the tour did not match the description of what would be offered. We spent more time sitting in traffic than actually seeing the sights. We only went into one museum and were rushed out. Were supposed to receive an alcoholic beverage with the tour and didn't.

Best part was learning about the history of Costa Rica. The Art museum and National monument were great. meal was just OK - they didn’t seem to be interested in sharing a meal with us… no greeting, explanation of what we were served, probably not the best restaurant to experience.

I would not recommend this tour. We barely had time to go to the museum (only 10 mins of free time which is not enough), couldn't visit the church (there was a service), the market was only souvenir shops that were all similar (the photos online showed fruits markets instead), and we were not able to enter the theater. This tour is quite expensive, and not worth it.

Four Hours I Can’t Get Back

I attempted to buy a single ticket through Viator however I was unable and forced to buy two tickets. I would suggest to buy any single ticket item through another source. We toured the market and the food was pointed out to the group, not tasted. We stopped at one sovereign shop and allowed to shop there. We were not allowed anytime to shop in the market; we had to stay with the group. Then the meal, it was cafe food. I expected an authentic meal. Whenever I visit cities, I take this type of tour; this one was not satisfactory.

Traveling with grandson...

Traveling with grandson and wanted to experience some of San Jose’s city life. This tour was perfect, The Central Market was quite interesting and not crowded as we were there in early evening. The restaurant we ate at was as very local feeling and food was delicious. Our tours guide excellent and explained everything both in English and Spanish. Picked up on time. And best of all there were only four of us on the bus. Highly recommend..

This was so fun! I am so glad we decided to do it. We saw some cool things in the city and had a good dinner too. Taking this tour was much easier than trying to drive myself to all these places. I highly recommend to make things easier. My 16 year old loved this so much.

Best way to see San Jose

Great tour, the guide was was very knowledgeable and the driver took extra care to make sure we were dropped off safe at our hotel. They picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel, so we do not have to drive anywhere to catch a tour.

Total waste of time and money. We travel the world extensively, and this was the worst tour, and the worst tour guide, we have ever experienced. Jordan never introduced himself until we asked for his name. He rushed through most of the tour, and did not seem to care much about the process. He advised our group at the end that it was his third tour of the day...no excuse!
