We will meet at Aldama 9 in Centro right where the class will take place. Its only one block and a half from the Parroquia. Simply walk down Cuna de Allende to Cuadrante. Take a left and then an immediate right onto Aldama. Walk half a block to Aldama 9 and ring the doorbell to enter.

Miguel’s class to make mole offered generous information for ingredients and technique. His love of Mexican culture was eloquently stated in words, with huge smiles, and ended with a walk in the garden, which provides fabulous herbs and vegetables for cooking. Our group of six shared all the tasks that led to a splendid meal and plenty of wine served on the terrace in a beautiful and inviting home in the heart of San Miguel. Thank Miguel. My daughter and I took Miguel’s cooking class to try something different and somewhat in line with the destination. We would not usually pick this kind of tour or experience. We had the best time! It was a perfect experience of cooking, conversating,exploring, eating, drinking, and learning. Miguel gets everyone involved and is very inviting. I’m so glad we chose to add this to our itinerary.

A Fun Afternoon and Early Evening

All good. Had a fun time at a very cool place. We drank wine, chopped and prepared the ingredients, were taught about salsas, mole sauce and Mexican rice by a cool guy. One in our group had an allergy and it was accommodated by making two batches of the salsa that included what they were allergic to.

I would highly recommend this experience with Miguel!!! The private property where the class is held is simply stunning. We were greeted by Miguel at the gate and immediately knew we were going to have a fun time!! We learned about making salsa, Mexican rice and mole! We learned about new ingredients, new methods, new spices and participated in the cooking process. After the food was prepared , we enjoyed a meal together on the beautiful veranda. Miguel is funny, engaging and a great teacher!! I would recommend his class to all visitors who want to learn a little more about Mexican cuisine all while having a wonderful time!!! This is a fabulous cooking class in every way. The photos don’t even begin to show how beautiful the setting is - it’s on a private estate and the kitchen and whole atmosphere is gorgeous. Chef Miguel is so welcoming and wonderful with lots of knowledge and a knack for making all the steps look easy. It’s hands-on in a fun way, the wine flows and you learn so much, ending with a beautiful lunch in the garden. Could not have been better!!!
