Highly Recommend English Tolantongo Tour

Josue was our guide. We met him in downtown QRO and he drove us the 3.5 hours to Tolantongo. He allowed us to stop for coffee or breaks if needed. He guided us at the attraction by showing us everything to do, and driving us up and down the hills to get to each place more easily (grottos, pools, river, lunch). Our tour fee paid for everything except lunch (basic Mexican fare and they have cocktails and beer also). Josue took care of our belongings while we swam and lounged; we did not need lockers. Bring cash (pesos) because they do not take cards. Bring a dry bag for your phone (photos!), bring water shoes (not flops), bring a towel. Josue was a very safe driver and we all felt very comfortable even to nap during the long drive home.

Loved the park, guide not so much.

We all loved Tolantongo….but we didn’t have a guide, we had a driver. He had never been there before this trip. Therefore we wasted time, and were frustrated not understanding the lay of the park. After reading the great reviews of others guides we were all disappointed in the situation. And paying for four people, I felt I did not get my moneys worth.

Excellent tour guide, Enrique was knowledgeable of the cities and the hot springs. I recommend taking this tour to get an idea of the layout. I definitely plan on staying there in trolantongo for a few days in rhe hotels.
