Gaby was the best! ...

Gaby was the best! Tour was great, Gaby was very patient, very informative and even took really nice pictures of every person in the group. Views were absolutely gorgeous and even if hike could be somewhat difficult for some of us it was all worth it at the end. Everything was great. Would recommend 100%.
Great tour!

Gaby is a very good tour guide. We enjoyed the hiking to the volcano. The top of the hike was so worth it. To looking down the beautiful color of the volcano lagoon was amazing. We had lunch at the local restaurant looking the beautiful lake. The food was amazing with good price.
Santa Ana volcano hike

Had a great time doing the hike and lake trip with our tour guide Josué. Smooth pickup and comfortable ride to the volcano. We got to learn more about the country and culture on the ride. Hike went well but was not able to go to the top due to the wind, this is always a possibility as a heads up. Had a nice time at the crater lake as well. Josué gave us recommendations for food to try during our time in El Salvador and we had a great time on the tour.
Great day trip!

The hike to the Santa Ana volcano was a great experience! Although we weren’t allowed to access the top of the volcano due to heavy winds, we were able to see all of the viewpoints which were incredible. After the hike, the lunch is in a beautiful spot overlooking the lake. The trip was well organised with transport to and from San Salvador and our guide Josué was great. He explained to us a lot about the history and culture of El Salvador and was very helpful in many ways. His English was also very good and could communicate clearly with both the English and Spanish speakers in our group.
Volcanoes and francis

This trip was amazing! It definitely was a little challenging but the views up top was worth it. The pacing of the hike was done well. Our guide was Francis and he did a phenomenal job. If you choose to do this hike, I definitely recommend choosing him. The drive to and from the location was comfortable. In the morning, he made sure we made a pit stop for breakfast and a chance to buy water/use the bathroom. He knew a lot about the land and is very knowledgable about the nations wildlife and everything nature. He was willing to talk about anything regarding El Salvador. From the economy to the politics and even the recreational activities around the area. He was very generous and attentive. He even brought his drone to take videos and pictures for us. We also went to a really nice restaurant by the lake. He was on time and responsive. He was very personable and kind! We really enjoyed this trip and would do it again! Thank you Francis :)
Great Excursion

This was a great tour! Definitely a must do. It was a medium to hard hike, so if your out of shape like me, better get your cardio skills up.. Osmaro was the best tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about his country, very patient with the group, cause I needed alot of breaks..lol, and a fantastic photographer. He made the excursion that more enjoyable. Definitely recommend asking for him on the tour. Definitely a great tour!
Challenging, but worthwhile.

This is a challenging hike, but doable. Wear appropriate hiking shoes and clothing. I highly recommend a hiking stick. It can get really dusty in some areas so bring something to cover your nose and mouth. Our guide Josue, was excellent. He provided a lot of information about El Salvador and the area. He even helped me order an off-menu meal for me at the restaurant at the lake since I am vegetarian.

Juan_M, Mar 2024
The tour is exactly as described and our tour guide Josue over delivered. Josue made the day amazing by sharing a ton of great info about El Salvador. The tour accommodates peopled staying in San Salvador and El Tunco which is very convenient. Josue takes great pics as well which is a plus! Great experience in a great country.
See and learn more about El Salvador!

Must-Do Hike to Volcano
oranis_p, Mar 2024
It was such a pleasure doing the volcano hike with Gaby. She was patient and fun. She kept track of the group and always made sure we were together. She explained everything and took her time. The hike itself is beautiful but be prepared for the sun and also towards the end the hike can get a bit challenging if you haven’t hiked before. Lunch by the lake was the perfect end to the tour. She and the driver Raul was great!
A must do tour!
alex_m, Mar 2024
Great scenery with an excellent guide and driver. Our guide was very nice and informative throughout the whole experience he even helped take great family pictures through the whole hike.
Great Day!
Larry_T, Feb 2024
Osmaro was a great guide! A lot of energy and very informative about El Salvador, its history and where things stand currently. Highly recommended!
A must hike!
Theodore_D, Feb 2024
The views throughout the hike were incredible! The pictures don’t do them justice. I loved having some ice cream once we reached the crater. I asked questions during the hike and Gaby was very thorough in her responses. I appreciated the El Salvador history lesson! The Michelada at the lunch spot was VERY GOOD. The views of the lake were great as well.
Great hike and experience but strenuous.
christopher_l, Feb 2024
The guide we had Josue was great When I planned my trip to El Salvador and was looking through excursions this is one I wanted to do. I thought it would be cool and a challenge which it was. I'm generally in good shape but this was still a strenuous hike and tough in areas. I would suggest you wear hiking shoes and not not everyday shoes because it is dusty and ashy and it will get all over your shoes and inside your socks. Wear shoes you don't mind getting dirty. A good breakfast with carbs wouldn't hurt and have your water with you like it says. The guys selling ice cream on the tops isn't that great. I'd say you can skip that.
SCAM

Excellent Guide for an Amazing Hike!
Kasandra_V, Feb 2024
Josue was an amazing guide and really made the experience awesome. He gave us tons of info about El Salvador, was super communicative before pickup and during the hike, and he takes some amazing photos!!! Only thing is be prepared for long van rides if you’re coming from El Tunco! That traffic is no joke,
Worth it!
Sheri_J, Feb 2024
It was a fun and beautiful hike! Highly recommend! The tour guide was great as were the fellow travelers we met along the way.
