Thank you for your review. While we do offer a tour that focuses more on "Southern" foods (those you listed are not Georgian foods, but something you can find anywhere south of the Mason-Dixon Line - Georgia isn't even a large producer of Peaches (California and South Carolina produce more), which you would have learned on the tour), the tour you chose is called "Port City" because it focuses on how Savannah's cuisine is heavily influenced by its Port.
By taking the Port City food tour you would have learned what Savannah's cuisine really is . . . and it is not just like every other southern city.
And by the way, it wasn't a "chicken hoagie", it was Zunzi's conquistador sandwich - voted best sandwich in Georgia, and runner-up for the best sandwich in the US. It is a blend of Italian flavors, Romanian cooking styles and Southern flare . . . exactly the kind of international influence on local flavors and cooking that the Port City food tour is designed to highlight. Additionally, that gnocchi you mentioned was a blue crab gnocchi using local blue crabs . . . so no, you can't get that anywhere.
Nevertheless, it is clear that despite describing the purpose of this tour in every marketing opportunity we have and in every descriptive place we can, we obviously didn't make it clear enough for some guests. As such, your review has been helpful in illuminating that not all guests read the details and that we should be more blunt.
Thanks again for the opportunity to address your misunderstanding of what "Port City" food tour means.
