Our tour guide was great. Very knowledgeable about Jerome and the surrounding areas. We had a small group which was great. Being hard if hearing this made it easier having limited people.

My husband, sister-in-law, and brother-in-law have been to Jerome several times but did not know much about the town and surrounding area. We decided to take a tour with an established tour operator and picked the Historic Tour of Jerome based on the comments from past clients. We were very pleased with our choice. Jason, our tour guide and driver, provided us with interesting information not only about Jerome, but Cottonwood, Cornville, and Clarkdale as well. Jason also suggested we visit some ancient Indian ruins outside of Flagstaff, which we plan on doing before leaving the area. We enjoyed our tour and would highly recommend the Historic Tour of Jerome to anyone interested in local history.

It was horrible! I paid and got my voucher and all my family were ready with packed lunches to go at 10am. At 10:10 I called the company who was supposed to pick us up. He never got our reservation and couldn’t pick us up. They cancelled our trip!!! We drove ourselves to Jerome.

Good way to learn about the mining history of the area

Our guide Jason was pleasant and quite knowledgeable about the area. Even though only 2 of us signed up for the tour, they didn't cancel, resulting in, essentially, a private tour. We learned a lot about the history of the area, had a wonderful lunch, and enjoyed spectacular views along the way.

Disappointing experience

This was easily the worst tour experience we’ve ever had. The man doing the tour was nice enough, but it wasn’t what we’d consider an actual tour.. it was more of a drive in a van with a bad smell in it and listening to stories of his friends and where they lived in the areas we were driving in. The tour on Viator said there’d be a discount to be used for lunch, but we didn’t receive one and our guide said they don’t do that right now as covid has closed the restaurants they partnered with. We thought there’d be more of a tour in Jerome, but once there we were free to do our own thing (lunch) and then meet back at the van 90 minutes later. Not much time to walk around, sightsee, shop and eat lunch somewhere.

The tour was okay but not what we expected. Our guide did a good job, but the town is mostly just a tourist destination shopping and eating. The best part was seeing an old mine shaft and equipment.
