This tour was neat. Ketut El was a great tour guide. He answered all of our questions in a respectful manner. The area we toured was perfect for the food tastings as they offer a variety of foods and produce within a short distance. Coming from America, the marketplace was a bit of a shock as some vendors were not hygienic with their poultry an other Meats. However, the fruit and treat stands were great to visit. We bought some treats to take home as souvenirs. The heat definitely beat down our appetite so I recommend going on a day with lower humidity than usual or carrying a portable fan, maybe ice, just to cool down. The portions of food were more than sufficient for 2 people plus our tour guide. Not to mention, they were all tasty!

Putu was a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. Not only did we learn about the food, but also about the local area. The food was excellent and everyone was friendly.

This was a great tour. Putu Merta was a great host. He was very patient and supportive. We appreciated his flexibility and willingness to work with us. His command of the English language is really good. Lots of food. Don't eat before you take the tour.

We had a great time as Reza guided us through some traditional areas of Denpasar. When we had to cut the tour short for reasons outside of our control, Reza even dropped us back to our hotel. We really appreciated his kindness and great sense of humour.

We had the most amazing food tour with Reza from withlocals. We started our tour in a local multilevel market where Raza was great at answering questions and suggesting snacks and fruits to try. From there we moved on to many more stops. He was very accommodating with us wanting to stop and look at everything around us or shop for treasures. Thank you Raya for a great experience!!

My husband and I didn't really know what to expect going into this food tour; only that we were excited to try some Balinese street food. We met Budi, our tour guide, and our nerves were instantly set at ease. He was kind, and funny, and let us know that our stomaches and tongues have differences, so if we don't like something we do not have to eat it. I was very relieved to hear this, because food is so personal and so cultural and I didn't want to be rude if something wasn't agreeing with me. He made sure that that wasn't the case, and there was zero pressure to try or finish a dish. Come with a hungry stomach and pace yourself! You're going to eat A LOT of food, and learn a lot about Bali cuisine. This type of food you won't find in any of the touristy areas, but after taking this tour we felt so much more confident in finding food carts and ordering for ourselves. The food is flavorful, spicy, cooked so well, and you'll try new things. Budi was an amazing guide, we felt so taken care of, he anticipated needs (more mineral water), talked to us about Bali and we got to walk around Depensar, seeing new parts of the city.

Budi was amazing and we would have never had an insight into local life in this manner without his expert guidance. We tasted a variety of food and enjoyed every moment of this and would highly recommend this for an authentic Bali experience and time with Budi!

Best Food Tour

This is a fantastic tour! My tour guide June Sophia was incredible. She helped me store my luggage while we walked the tour, she was so informative about Balinese culture and pointed out so many things along the way. The food was A-mazing! She catered the tour for me and even got a few things wrapped up to go because I was so full. (Definitely bring a friend to help eat all the delicious bites). I cannot say enough great things about my experience. If you’re looking to try all the best food in Bali in one lovely tour, look no further, you have found the best tour! Book it!

Far Below Expectations. Probably the worst tour we've had so far. The food on the tour was substandard and cleanliness not observed. The guide was not enthusiastic and didn't show keenness to create an experience.

This was the BEST tour we had, and Bali! June WAS AMAZING. So amazing that we decided to book all of our tours with them. We had so much food on this tour that by the end we couldn’t even eat anymore. The food was so delicious, the people were so amazing, a time was had! I highly recommend June for anything you need. She is always willing to help. She even offered to bring me medicine when I was sick. She’s a great friend to have and the next time I visit I’ll definitely be booking with her.

Ada was an informative and good-spirited guide. Be sure to check your route/destination details thoroughly, as I had trouble finding the correct temple on the Grab app for the meeting location. However, I was extremely grateful that Ada waited 45 minutes for me during which. Bring an empty tummy, as you'll eat PLENTY of food! You might have trouble finding a favourite, as I enjoyed everythig I'd sampled.

Real authentic Indonesian/ Balinasian dishes brought to you by locals. The tour was amazing with so many local stops and food markets. If you want to see where local people shop, eat and hang out and understand the real local cuisine as a tourist, this is one of the best tours you can take. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. He even offered to take us to where we stayed even though it was not included in the tour. Highly recommended!

Loved this experience! Putu stepped in as our guide and was really excellent -- very informative, very clear, and very personalized! He accommodated our challenging food needs easily and with grace (one person can't eat spicy food, the other is a vegetarian with a peanut/sesame allergy). The tour started in the market but the second half was spent walking through the neighborhood, stopping at local casual restaurants or at street food stalls. Really great way to get a feel for a more realistic local experience as we saw almost no tourists during this experience. Lots of food - come hungry! The food was amazing, the tour was even better. Highly recommend this experience. Thank you Putu!

Wonderful experience

I have been to Bali many times and wanted to experience something a little different. I wish I had done this year's ago. It was wonderful trying all the different street foods which I would ordinarily be unsure of in case they were not safe for my delicate Aussie stomach. Budi was a wonderful, knowledgeable guide. He answered all my questions regarding the foods we tried and Balinese culture in general. For me, aside from tasting all the wonderful foods, be warned, there is a lot of it, watching the locals riding their bikes from stall to stall in the fresh food market was a highlight. Sort of like a market drive through. Thank you Budi for a wonderful experience.
