Less than expected, unfortunately

The season I would not recommend this trip is because our guide, who was a very nice man and seemed to have a gasp of English, was very hard to understand. His pronunciation of words was very difficult to decipher, which resulted in miscommunications. We felt that if we asked any questions they were either not understood, not answered or not heard. This made the experience less than desirable. As I said above, he was a very nice and pleasant man, and seemed very knowledgeable, but considering what you pay for a private tour, it did not meet our expectations. If we spoke Korean, it would have been a completely different experience/tour.

Wow, I can’t even begin to describe how epic our DMZ private tour was—definitely the highlight of our trip! 🌟 First things first, I’m so glad we opted for a private tour over the group one. Trust me, the convenience is unparalleled, and those group tour queues were no joke. 🙅‍♀️ Our tour guide, Moonhak Song, was absolutely incredible. As a family of history buffs, his detailed storytelling was like music to our ears. Plus, he had a witty sense of humor that resonated so well with my goofy dad. 😄 Being Muslims, the private tour was a game-changer for us, especially when it came to food. Moonhak made sure everything was pork-free. This was huge because let’s face it, not everyone in Korea speaks English! The car? Spacious, clean, and they even provided unlimited water bottles for us! 🚗💦 And guess what? I booked through ShopBack and snagged another awesome 12% cashback. Given the top-notch service from our tour guide, I’d say it’s a steal! If you’re on the fence, just book it. You won’t regret it!

This is an unconventional review - we had the unfortunate circumstance to have our tour cut short by a rare power outage at the 3rd Tunnel entrance facility. After 30 mins of confusion and having our tour guide diligently try to find out the issue, the officials informed us that we wouldn't be able to visit ANY of the tour spots. The guide was really understanding and helpful in explaining the situation and spoke to his boss. They offered to provide a full refund of the cost of the trip, no stipulations. Given the circumstances, which were not their fault, I thought this was a very very generous and kind offer. That alone deserves recommendation, but if the tour had gone through as planned, I would have put up a positive review I'm sure.

From pick up to drop off we enjoyed the trip. Our tour guy (Song) was very knowledgeable on every aspect of Korea. Hystory, geography, sociL aspect... we were able to learn so many things. The tour was very well planned. No waiting. Vehicle very comfortable and drive very safe. A must if you are in Seoul! Our kids really enjoyed the trip. And how exciting to be 170mt from North Korea!

Comfortable visit the North Korea border

It was fascinating to hear the history and be right on the border with North Korea. The walk down into the secret tunnel dug by North Korea under the border was strenuous and made it all so real. It was busy so we had a 2 hour wait to enter the DMZ. Our guide looked after us well and had a comfortable electric car.

The guide was amazing! This was the perfect trip for our short visit. Everything was well planned and timed and even had some flexibility in it. Everything went smoothly. Communication was easy and we had many interesting conversations on history, culture and philosophy. I would highly recommend to anyone. The highlight was to see actual ppl on the other side. The scheduling of getting to the DMZ area depends on the day and the length of the trip is dependent on that aswell. That is good to take into account if you have a tight schedule as we had. We still got to the DMZ zone with the alternative schedule and we were more than happy with everything. A day to remember for a longer period of time.

JK our guide was great and worked hard to get us tickets into the DMZ despite it being very busy. Clean and nice car. Just to be clear you are paying for personal car service to and from Paju. Inside the DMZ you can only enter using certified busses.

Besides the same DMZ tour as everyone else he took us to the museum of “lost abductees” which we knew nothing about. Very interesting. He was very attentive to our needs, and was extremely knowledgeable but could have allowed more time for photos
