The history of the lake was super interesting. On the dinner boat, the cocktails were strong and the food was delicious!! Also, the sunset was breathtakingly beautiful! Definitely recommend this tour!!

The lotus farm visit was nice, and the boat trip was enjoyable. You get to see things you would not get to see if you were not on a boat.
Tino made this tour very memorable in a good way

I truly enjoyed this tour which included myself and a couple from New Zealand. Our first stop was at a lotus farm where I learned a lot about the many uses of the lotus floor. Our second stop was at a lake where we proceeded to get on the water and got to see a floating village which moves between the lake and another area within Cambodia based on when the rains and floods occur during the year. We also got to eat on a riverboat with some very delicious food. My tour guide, Tino, did an excellent job and even took us on a side trip to view the communal operation of families catching and processing fish which are subsequently sold at various markets.

The small just ride along canal was nice& then it was incredible to see the floating city& crocodile farm before arriving to the beautiful cruise boat with delicious dinner .

You get picked up from your hotel and get taken to the boat - the boat tickets are included in your price. You sail along the canal and see the floating village. You get off if you want at the crocodile farm. Then you go along to the lake and there is a big boat (very old). You have dinner and all inclusive drinks for an hour and and half and watch the sunset. Great view of the sunset. Very friendly guide. You get dropped back to your hotel or where ever you choose to go after.

Wonderful experience learning about the life of beautiful people on the Tonle Sap river. Our tour guide was extremely informative and all the people involved attentive to our every need and safety. We stopped at Lotus farm and then crocodile viewing platform where our guide explained so much information. Took a boat down the river past people’s homes, school, church, police and water station. Our guide explained the ever changing life the people live. Then just as sun was about to set we boarded a moored dinner boat where we had a delicious buffet of fresh food. All you could drink beer, wine and cocktails. Cocktails were limited as expected but nice. We watched the amazing sunset over the Tonle Sap and had a lot of time to relax and chat. You can either spend the time being social or unwind on the top of the boat in a number of different relaxing places. Would fully recommend this value for money experience.

Hi Gwend, Thank you for your time in writing your review of our sunset dinner cruise special, we are very sorry the food was cold on our buffet? the foods are brought up freshly cooked from our kitchen on the riverboat and arrive at the same time our guests do on the Queen Tara Riverboat, we also have and use bain-marie to keep the foods hot longer, however i will pass on your comments to our catering crew and see what improvement we can deliver, thank you also in your nice comments about our guide, we are so lucky to have some excellent guides for our tours, most where actually born in the same villages we visit, thanks again and safe travel always

Very misleading "cruise". We ravelled by junk boat to a stationary boat - no cruise. The buffet was pretty poor quality food compared to every hint else we have eaten here

Sorry to hear you did not enjoy our sunset dinner special cruise, the food for the buffet is prepared fresh every day, we have a very good selection of both asian and western type foods, the girls that are doing the cooking are normally providing very tasty meals, the cruise of the floating villages is done with our mini tara boats (as clearly stated) as these can navigate around the numerous floating villages its after this we transfer the the big boat(Queen Tara) for the buffet meals and open bar, i will show our staff your comments, and see where we can improve, again thank you for your custom kind regards and safe travel always,thanks you Miss Sambo

Not what we expected. It was a great afternoon. The trip to the floating restaurant is interesting and fun. The ambience of the restaurant, is a very pleasant surprise. The food is good, the trip to and from is memorable. Highly recommend.

Firstly I have to say our guide was fantastic!! He was full of information relevant to life of the floating village and it's history along with other random but interesting information about Cambodia. He made the tour animated, funny and interesting. Unfortunately, there were only 4 on the tour there was it was nothing like what was promised on Viator. There was no dinner buffet. We were given menus with very basic food to order one item each. Plus on alcohol we cringed as the barman put his hand in the bucket and picked ice for our drinks. It was the same bucket the bottle of wine was put inside to chill. I opted for sparkling wine but they had only 1 bottle onboard. As much as the floating village was fascinating and the guide was good, the trip was not worth the price we paid. They should have given us the option of just doing the floating village and back as we had better food for a lot cheaper in Siem Reap. This event was a total rip off

thank you for your review,yes we have the buffet when 5 or more people have booked, as stated on the booking platforms we also have the fixed menus, however people can order as much as they like and as many plates/servings as they like, we did have extra wine on board, and steps will be taken to ensure this does not happen again, as for the price of our tours, most of the expense is in fees to the villages to enter the floating villages, boats, and diesel. however we do make every effort to keep costs as low as possible, we do have other tours you can book that are just a tour of the floating villages without any meals, as can be seen on the floating villages tour on the same booking platforms.these tours are slightly less expensive,but as i say the main costs are incurred with running the boats and fees and taxes to enter the floating villages(which most goes back to the community), safe travel always

It wasn't value for money for the price that was charged... river has hardly any water during summer so not recommended in summer and the dinner was below average Overall experience is worth for half the price they charge.

thank you for your review, we do try and keep costs to a minimum, yes the water levels do vary from wet season to dry seasons, but the good news is the lake levels are slowly raising, the one good advantage of the low water levels is the floating villages have all moved out onto the lake itself,so can truly see how large the villages are, we normally get good reviews about the food, we had the buffet for sunset, and the food is brought out fresh everyday. we will closely monitor the food on the buffet, and see what improvement we can do, thanks again and safe travel always

Bus old, meal consisted of fries, spring rolls, small pieces of fish, one casserole rye thing and two rice. Very average, not worth the money at all-go on a different one.

thank you for your review, i am surprised the buffet was not up to your standards, i will certainly ask our cooking staff what happened, i do know we only had 5 guests that night and we would have offered a fixed menu instead of the full buffet, our buffet consists of vegetarian spring roll, fish bits, fries, chicken wings, pork spareribs, fried rice, mixed fired vegetables, steamed rice, French dressed salad, Beef Lok Lak, also deserts and fresh local fruits, i am very sorry if they did not deliver as above, and will certainly address the issue, we use mini vans for the pick-up and return into Siem Reap, they are not that old, and get cleaned every day, but point taken, you did not mention the drinks? we supply cold beers, yummy cocktails, wines (Australian), soft drinks, water, spirits, as free flow, we are the only riverboat doing the full sunset with dinner and drinks and after 20 years we think we are quite good, but maybe the staff had an off night, I will certainly be asking a lot of questions and if necessary a few corrections as we stride to create a unique and pleasant experience for all , just had an update we had fixed menu on this tour as only 5 people but i think some miscommunications are at play thanks again

Family adventure on Tonle Sap Lake

Had a great time. Our tour guide was very friendly and we learnt a lot from him. Also has the opportunity to have good discussions with him about present day Cambodia, it’s history as well as the tour itself. The food was very good, quite western and my children certainly liked it. As much to drink as you wanted - beer, spirits, cocktails. The tour involved a stop at the Lotus Farm which was great for photos and a look at fish and flower farming. The boat trip through the fishing village was quite unique, showing a very different way of life. Plenty of waving from the local children as we went past. There were life jackets in the boat just in case, but we always felt quite secure even through there was some heavy rain at times. Can’t do much about the weather but the tour accommodated for it and the boat was covered. Actually made for a cooler evening which was nice. We stopped off for a brief look at a crocodile farm as well. Then we ended up at the Tara Queen, a large boat laid out for dinner with great views over Tonle Sap Lake from every direction. It was a real adventure and our family enjoyed it. Very glad we took this tour.

Great trip. The magnitute of the lake is very impressive, even in the dry. The meal did leave a lot to be desired, but all in all well worth doing.
