We pick up from any Hotel , Pension or Bed & Breakfast along the Coast between Swakopmund and Walfishbay we also pick up at Walvisbay Harbor and Airport. Please advise arrival times. On an afternoon tour we also pick up after your other activity , like Catamaran seal cruise or after Kayaking. We start in Swakopmund .and pick up in Walvisbay 30 minutes later than advertised.

An amazing and memorable tour

This is a breathtaking nature wonder tour for our group of 10 seniors. We were so thrilled to be able to enjoy the roller coaster rides with a total of 4 SUVs. Jurgen, our tour guide, together with three other guides were extremely experienced and polite making the entire trip a memorable one. Everyone enjoyed the lunch buffet and drinks. Disappointing tour - it didn't happen!

Unfortunately, we cancelled the Welwitschia tour and booked this one instead, but Viator cancelled both tours. Even though the agent tried her best to get us on another tour, there were five of us with only a four seater vehicle, which was dirty. Due to time restraints, we were therefore unable to do this tour, which was booked almost a month in advance. Disappointing.

Hi Moira. we apologize and understand your anger as to the way the booking went. I worked on and confirmed your booking after you changed it, we still emailed each other. We can thus not understand how it was cancelled again, and disappeared from Viator. Our Office contacted Viator and they were engaged and all tried to help. If a booking is cancelled a refund must be claimed from Viator. Viator only pays us the next month and your name was not on the statement, nor was a refund requested from us. All we and the viator lady can presume is that your payment did not go through and thus the platformed removed your booking?. If there is no Payment there is no booking , and there is no response from us, as we are not expecting you anymore. We tried our best in the peak season to assist you, but you were very angry and did not really want to do the tour anymore. Again this is not our fault, we are in business in doing tours and mistakes and complaints are viewed very seriously. You should be taking this issue up with Viator directly as we have no control over it. Again we apologize for the mishap and inconvenience caused. Uwe

Tame seamlessly transformed to Extreme.....

Our tour guide UWE was fantastic and him being a former rally driver, it just puts an extra bit of comfort into the trip . As we couldn't make the sandwich harbour passage because of the high tide, UWE more than made up for it with some extreme dune driving experience! Exhilarating! During the trip , we also spotted a herd of oryx ( 30 odd) and numerous springbok. Tour worth every penny in my view !

Awesome experience. Tour was well organized. I got picked up at my accommodation on time. Seeing the high dunes and the many seals and flamingos were the highlight of the trip. Also a nice desert picnic. Driving on the high dunes was lots of fun too. I highly recommend this tour to others.

Rocky start but salvaged by our guide

This tour started off very rocky. The original pickup time was 8:30AM. The night before we received a message saying the pickup was 7:30AM. We got up earlier and rushed through breakfast (Breakfast started at 7AM) and we're ready in the lobby at 7:25AM. At 8AM the hotel staff called the tour company. Tour company told them they were on their way. 8:25 AM the vehicle showed up. I have no problem with a tour running late but I don't like a lack of communication. A simple acknowledgment that they are running late and an estimate of a revised pickup would have been fine 1 star for the tour management. The tour was rescued from this por start by our tour guide Winton. He was exceptional. His knowledge and enthusiasm for the area was evident. He was courteous, fun and went the extra mile. Tour guide 5 stars The area is amazing. Beautiful views. High dunes. Breathtaking vistas from the top of the dunes. Tour 5 stars I recommend this tour in spite of the rough start. It wouldn't hurt to ask for Winton as your guide as he was great.

Memorable full day excursion

This was a unique excursion, starting with hundreds of flamingos up close in Walvis Bay lagoon. Then off road for an exciting drive along the seemingly endless beach of Sandwich Harbour past crashing Atlantic surf. Our affable driver/guide, Winton, then showed us what a Land Cruiser can do in the hands of an experienced driver; climbing the immense dunes to a scenic picnic spot for lunch of cold meats and seafood followed by sweet treats, and washed down with cold Namibian beer. After lunch a white-knuckle dune drive morphed into a game drive, spotting ostriches, oryx, and springbok. A quick viewing of the local salt pans and some birding along the coast back to Swakopmund rounded off an excellent day. Highly recommended

Uwe is fantastic, accommodative and knowledgeable. He goes the extra mile to give a one-of-a-kind experience! The scenery was everything. The only snag on my trip was that we were joined by two ladies who spoke Afrikaans which is fine if they speak amongst themselves or if Uwe is answering a direct question but several times Uwe explained /said something tour related in Afrikaans. Other instances he would switch between languages and it was annoying to either put the bits and pieces together to understand or to ask him to repeat in English. The tour is really worth it. I'd still recommend him to everyone.
